psl Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Man of the match for me tonight. Great from start to finish. Can we sign him now please?
MFletcher Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 He always seems to win the ball cleanly. I'll go spare if we lose him. What the f*** is taking so long?
Tones Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 He was superb again. And we will sign him. I have no fears about that.
FC Showster Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Diego M was right. He is a monster And his range of passing tonight must have shut up a few people on his forum
Cunny Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 How anyone can come on here and say we should not buy him, that he's not worth £17m (including wages!!!) is beyond me!!!Player of the Season for me, even above Torres. He was fecking brilliant tonight.
Zoob Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 He always wins the ball, often making it look as simple as stealing candy from a baby. And he seems to be everywhere - Are there 2 of him? That's what could be holding the deal up.

Rory Fitzgerald Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 He is a world class performer in his positon. Everyone must recognise that he will not win games, he will win everything coming towards his defence and allows somone like Gerrard to go forward. Actually, feck what he can possibly do, lets rejoice in the fact that he is an animal in winning the ball and that his distribution is improving with every game, every so often he will ping cross field balls and they are getting better.
Mike Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 first half tonight was as good a defensive midfield performance i've ever seen.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 first half tonight was as good a defensive midfield performance i've ever seen. The lad is excellent
Swipe Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 He wins everything in the middle of the park. Strong as a bull and opposition look like they hate facing him.
Herbie von Smalls Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 he's formidable. a silent assassin.
FC Showster Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 he's formidable. a silent assassin. How wrong. Even when he's brutally, viciously hacked the guy to pieces he stands and berates the ref for giving a freekick. Thus ensuring the next one goes his way. If only more of our players had that desire
Des Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 World class. Just exceptional. One of the very best players in our League.
Herbie von Smalls Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 (edited) How wrong. Even when he's brutally, viciously hacked the guy to pieces he stands and berates the ref for giving a freekick. Thus ensuring the next one goes his way. If only more of our players had that desire figuratively, not literally. he slides in from nowhere to take possession and opponents just don't pick him up on their radar. if he were a professional hitman, he'd be the kind victims would discover had struck, only when they felt the blood spurting out of their garotted throats. Cobs Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Pay the f***ing money. Thank you.you'd have to think the GH/DIC situation and who pays for him is the cause of the delay
Des Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 you'd have to think the GH/DIC situation and who pays for him is the cause of the delay He's ours for keeps. It makes no sense on any level to let someone of his class slip through our fingers.
Cobs Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 He's ours for keeps. It makes no sense on any level to let someone of his class slip through our fingers. indeed it also makes no sense to fork out £18m on a player you have on loan til the end of the season when you're flogging the club before that
Rimbeux Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 you'd have to think the GH/DIC situation and who pays for him is the cause of the delay Would hope so, and nothing leaning on the future of the manager
Maldini Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 indeed it also makes no sense to fork out £18m on a player you have on loan til the end of the season when you're flogging the club before that It does if the money is coming from debt you've put on the club, it makes no difference either way.
Gilps Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 This all makes sense, but there's part of me that can't help thinking we're going to feck up royaly and let him slip through our fingers
Guest Machac13 Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Truly spectacular play today! Man of the match no doubt! We will sign him i have no worry bout that!
Bootle Buck Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 He looked so confident and completely bossed the midfield. I can't wait to see him at the San Siro, he will be immense.
