.......... who would you get rid of and replace if we had say 50 million regardless of sales income.

Who could we sign for a 2nd choice keeper?

Striker who will settle for a game 1 in 3?

midfield who might play right left or centre?

I know ill get football manager remarks and stuff but surely these are problems facing rafa or who ever is in charge?

First out the door would be Stevie G. Followed by Kewell, Riise, Pennant, Voronin and Crouch.

I'd start by promoting a few youngsters who'd play with a bit of hunger. And hopefully for the team.

Why Gerrard?

Nah, man, seriously, I'm sick of him, the miserable git.

Kuyt is an honest trier, and I admire him for it. Not the greatest player of course, but I love to see players with a heart.

And sell Torres as well, because he's scoring all these goals he's stopping the other strikers from scoring.

We're all f***in miserable, there isn't nothing to be happy about.

2nd choice keeper ? thats down to scouting. It isn't Charles though, I know that much. Why promise Itandje the cup games anyway though ? Its not like he was an up and coming u21 international that we had to keep sweet. We want to win the FA cup and Reina gains so little by being rested for those games that its pointless. The team benefits by having the best keeper there for every game when fit.

Striker 1 game in 3 ? Thats not Kuyt, he gets more games than that. Crouch gets less than 1 in 3...so that isn't a problem Rafa is facing. He just needs to recruit better forwards.

Why would any manager have the problem of playing a midfielder anywhere in the midfield ? He'd pick and choose his squad to have specialists in each position and a few utility players in the squad for emergencies.

Do you think Man Utd have a team full of Kuyt's? It's just that they have a manager who seem to get the best out of his players. Players like Fletcher, Oshea and Brown are hardly world beaters but they perform when called upon.

And he gets world class players to play for the shirt as well.

Id keep Kuyt simply because he can play much better than hes showing now, and his attitude is what we need. If we sold him in the summer we'd be lucky to get 4-5 million for him.

As a 3rd-4th choice striker playing to near his potential hes fine and more importantly for me hes one of the few players we have with the right mentality and he doesnt whinge about being rotated.

Players out: Carson, Finnan, Riise, Pennant, Alonso, Kewell, Crouch, Voronin,

Man Utd have had plenty of players that we've ridiculed. And those same players have been on the winning side against us upteen times, and have medal collections that our players can only dream about.

I'm not sure if your post is pro or anti Rafa. I do think that one can't buy heart for a team, that comes from the manager, Ferguson does it better than almost anyone. Gutless performances like we've been seeing make me worry about Rafa at times. But I think Rafa has more of a winner's mentality than most of his players. I just don't think he's got a team of true believers yet. It takes time.

IMO Rafa doesn't see players as needing extra motivation, it's like he sees everything like football manager figures, Pennant's crossing is 17/20, their LB's blocking is 4/20, Pennant should have a good game. He over analyses everything, turning everything into a tactical battle, needlessly.

If he did think that way then im sure he realises now that with some of the players he has thats not the case. So many of our players are playing below what their capable of.

I do think however the the top players are top players because they play to a high level week after week, if you look at our best performers this season its people like Reina, Mascherano, Gerrard, Torres, players that set a high standard and play at or near that level week after week game after game, thats the type of player Rafa was used to working with at Valencia and im sure thats what hes trying to bring here.

The problem has been because he likes to rotate you need the players coming in to play to a consistent level so to some extent you know what your going to get from certain players and that isnt happening with the majority of our squad.

I would get rid of Reina Carra Gerrard and Torres.

Get Shay Given in, he is pure class, saves Newcastle every week, then break the bank for Woodgate or Puyol to replace Carra, Lampard is running his contract down, surely he would jump at the chance to captain LFC.

Up front we are crying out for someone like Yakubu or Martins, Torres just doesnt cut it at the highest level.

I'd have f*cked him off two years ago with merry glee. Nothing's changed.

Merry glee?, Cardiff 2006 would have been brilliant wouldn't it?

Don't know. Haven't you seen 'Quantum Leap'? Changing the present alters the future. Anything might have happened.

He's not my mate and I don't play pool with him or anything so I say this from a distance but I don't like, I don't like his attitude and I think we'd be better enough without him.

Just how I see it, like. If he was called Stefano Gerrardo you'd see it differently than you do, perhaps.

It is about motivating your players. None of Liverpool's players are bad, or even poor players, it just seems that they don't know where they they stand. The rotation policy simply doesn't make any sense; you have good players playing every other game. Your defence & midfield doesn't get to together enough to trust each other or anticipate what each other is going to do. Say what you want about individual Utd players, but they play together week in and week out....that breeds consistency and consistency wins you titles.........that's something you guys used to have by the bucket load.

By the way; Liverpool fans clapping the Barnsley players at the end was pure class.
