fyds Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 The genuinely most successful manager in English football and not simply by dint of time served - as well as probably the most pleasant and decent. A truly great man who was just happy to serve. RIP Bob.
Guest Snorky Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 12 years ago RIP the best manager ever.

dorgie Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 (edited) Best manager ever. A true gentleman, and not forgetting that he fought for his country/European freedom. RIP. Edited February 14, 2008 by dorgie
theredfella Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Legend is a term bandied around far too easily these days and ninety nine percent of its usage is completely inappropriate. To describe Bob in those terms is no exception. Legend doesn't even begin to cover his greatness or what he did for this football club. God bless you, sir.
Boca Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I missed out on the Shankly years but feel very fortunate to have been a supporter during Bob Paisley's era. He epitomised everything that's great about this football club. RIP Bob

Murphman Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Nobody but NOBODY could pick a player like Bob, he rarely got it wrong. He knew when to get shut as well. If there were ever any doubt his dignity and the way he conducted himself makes Ferguson look like the c*nt we all know he is by comparison. RIP
