Have been waiting some time to have a arthroscopy surgery for ligament/cartilage damage on my knee. Have just found out that it will be carried out in Lourdes Hospital in Liverpool next weekend. (Fekin Saturday - so no chance of catching the Boro game unless I get taken 1st thing in the morning).

 

Anyways, they pick the Missus and I up on the friday from the house by taxi, off to the airport, fly us over, taxi from airport to hotel, stay over, taxi next morning to hospital, operate, taxi back to hotel, stay over. Sunday - taxi us to airport, fly us back, & take us home by taxi. F**K me pink.

 

When I was certain that this was all in place I asked if this was the most cost-effective way of carrying out the procedure - they told me it was & that they had loads of people over from Ireland. I met the surgeon here in Belfast a few months back - he's a Red and has a season ticket in the paddock, so I'd be pretty sure his last operation will be scheduled before 3.00pm.
