honourablegeorge Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 For all the stick Kuyt's had, much of it over the top, I reckon he'll score one for us this weekend.

Stevie H Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 For all the stick Kuyt's had, much of it over the top, I reckon he'll score one for us this weekend.do you want to buy a bridge?
honourablegeorge Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 do you want to buy a bridge? Heh. I still like Kuyt. He's been s***, but he's been an honest, sweaty, face-only-a-mother-could-love sort of s***. He's capable of better.
Hassony Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Heh. I still like Kuyt. He's been s***, but he's been an honest, sweaty, face-only-a-mother-could-love sort of s***. He's capable of better.last season he was in top three performers for liverpool (based on MOM) this season he is low on confidence, but ultimately neither him or crouch are good enough to be first choice for us
Hassony Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 We are so going to get our arses wooped. we will win (or at least get a draw)
AE Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 we will win (or at least get a draw) NO we won't (and I am normally one of the optomistic ones who thinks we can still win the league when we are 15 points behind, in April )
Bo Benn Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 that would be my choice, with Yossi and Babel interchanging Hmm... I see Yossi as the better wide player, more likely to successfully take on the fullback and deliver a decent cross. While Babel should imo be groomed as a central attacker in this case playing slightly behind Crouch and adding a bit of pace to our front line that Crouch so desperately lacks. For all the stick Kuyt's had, much of it over the top, I reckon he'll score one for us this weekend. Wouldn't mind seeing Kuyt and Crouch lining up against Chelsea actually. I reckon a difficult game like this could be what wakes the underachievers of this season up and starts performing. Dirk is a fine bloke after all and I would love it if he puts one in the net on Sunday to rescue his season (and contract). Same goes for Riise who I remember played brilliantly during the CL semis last season. Lucas for Pennant for me with Gerrard going into the 3 and Lucas alongside Mascherano. JP is not my favorite player a the moment but he does add width which I think is somewhat of a necessity while Crouch is playing upfront. Doubt that Gerrard would provide that width and I fear he would either fade out of the game or get tangled in centrally in the position I would like to see Babel play.
sutty Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 last season he was in top three performers for liverpool (based on MOM) this season he is low on confidence, but ultimately neither him or crouch are good enough to be first choice for us He was rubbish last season as well HTH

He's capable of better.i tried making a similar point to sutty at the west ham match. kuyt isn't sh*te because he's scored lots of goals and he's played lots of times for holland. ergo he must have some level of technique and ability. i struggled to convince myself as it goes, never mind sutty.
Hassony Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 NO we won't (and I am normally one of the optomistic ones who thinks we can still win the league when we are 15 points behind, in April ) we'll see £5 on a 1-0 win to us with Kuyt as the goal scorer
Rory Fitzgerald Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Lucas for Pennant for me with Gerrard going into the 3 and Lucas alongside Mascherano. For me too, said that team to a mate earlier this morning.
Bailo Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 we'll see £5 on a 1-0 win to us with Kuyt as the goal scorerAs long as it's not with Ben23

We haven't seen the best of him, put it that way. Really dislike the way people are on his back over comments in the papers too. He's an honest bloke, he came out and said that he performances haven't been good enough. Plenty others have been s**** too.
sutty Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 we'll see £5 on a 1-0 win to us with Kuyt as the goal scorer If that bet comes in you'll dwarf the fortune of the euromillions jackpot winner.
Hassony Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 (edited) If that bet comes in you'll dwarf the fortune of the euromillions jackpot winner. If i win the £95m I would at least £90m on that bet, at 60/1 I could easily afford to buy out Hicks then Edited February 8, 2008 by Hassony
sutty Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I'll go f***ing spare if we don't win this NAppDS

The problem kuyt has is his not consistent....he does have good technique and ability...but he shows it in one game and then his s**** the next. I still think we need to stick by him...everyone goes through a bad form run...hopefully we show enough patience to stick by him becasue he will come good. As always confidence is everything. Ive seen kuyt take down difficult passes and run at defenders, and then ive seen kuyt mis-control passes momo can take with his eyes closed. Hopefully the good kuyt turns up tommorow...he needs a goal
