I'm not talking from a defensive point of view. His use of the ball was excellent and he actually showed purpose and technical ability.

 

There was one incident where he received the ball in the left back spot, took it around their attacker, dribbled into their half and played a lovely ball down the line to Kewell. Riise would have received it, shifted it to his left and hammered it in the general direction of their goal.
