I think if we kept about the same lineup and squad as Sunderland, we are there already. We should keep up our normal pressring game and attack from the beginning to the end we will likely get 3 points.

I think that team would get beat by Chelsea, overrun in midfield and murdered down the flanks.

A defensive line up certainly, but we actually have a player capable of making the formation work in Torres, who can get behind the Chelsea defense with his pace should we be sitting back. You obviously have the likes of Babel and Benayoun who can come on if start to go into the ascendancy.

 

I do think we need proper defensive cover on both wings, because they have a pretty handy front three. Carragher would probably go apes*** being put at left/right back again, but I would trust him to defend his side against Cole/Wright Phillips, with Skrtel's pace and height key to stopping Anelka. Mascherano to sweep up in midfield and Gerrard/Riise/Crouch as willing workers to help Torres.
