McBain Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 They can both f*** off with sacking him. Yank c**** But he should seriously think about walking. This isn't going to turn around
muleskinner Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 And get in who? The entire coaching staff are his appointments and will go with him. I don't see anyone of the calibre required available until the summer.
Mono Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 win three games in a row and the posts are from the other extreme.
Guest Bills Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 OK, lets say we sack him. Who in the hell do we replace him with ???????
Guest JV Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 OK, lets say we sack him. Who in the hell do we replace him with ???????cobs will answer that
Ed the Wool Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Still in the CL. Still in the FA Cup. Still more than capable of a CL place. You lot need to have a serious look at yourselves.
Jim D Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I've always backed Rafa, even as we were going through a rough patch after the first International break. But the performances and the results over December and January have been mediocre at best. The team is playing poorly, there doesn't seem to be any togetherness at all. Just one more poor performance or result will take me over the edge regarding Rafa, if we don't see an improved performance against Sunderland at Anfield on Saturday then that's it for me, Rafa has got to go. We're down to bloody 7th! This is a really poor season in the league and it could get worse, we still got to go to Old Trafford, Emirates and Stamford Bridge. Horrible time to be a Liverpool supporter on and off the field.
Mono Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) OK, lets say we sack him. Who in the hell do we replace him with ???????Jurgen Klinsman oh hang on... we'd need someone with some kind of pedigree really Edited January 30, 2008 by Mono
Guest Budo Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 The Yanks might not know the ropes and how things are done at Liverpool. But let's just forget that for a minute ... On the last day of Jan we are ******* 6th! 17 points behind the leaders! 10 points behind third place!
Guest Si Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Great topic, lot of though. Kudos to ya. c***.
Guest Kaizer Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Get an assistant in would be a better idea.
Guest gorsty2k7 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Heres hoping that we can pull out the best deal in this transfer window and send Dirk Kuyt anywhere. Why he insists on playing that ********* piece of crap is beyond me. He hasn't scored a goal since Newcastle (and that was a fluke) so why do we need to keep him? I don't want to see Benitez go, but as long as Kuyt is upfront we're not going to get the goals we need to win games, and as long as Benitez keeps him in the squad, the more pressure he is under. After all, its not his fault that the team aren't playing as well as they should be, some of the blame needs to be passed onto the overpaid a******s who are on the pitch.
Logic Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 OK, lets say we sack him. Who in the hell do we replace him with ???????Lippi would be one possibility.
surf Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Ridiculous knee jerk topic. it's not a "knee jerk" topic
RafaShanks Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Still in the CL. Still in the FA Cup. Still more than capable of a CL place. You lot need to have a serious look at yourselves. Time for you to wake up me thinks and pull your head out of the feckin sand!!!
Guest RedLegend Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) Don't think there's much point getting rid of Rafa now. Who would you get in for a start half way through a season? Come the Summer though I think a parting of the ways would be best for all. The football we're playing now is easily as bad as it was in Ged's last year (with better players). Dee Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 nah, i think we have to seriously consider this - Rafa walking or being sacked. Bring in Mourinho - why not? especially if Rafa walks. Mourinho inspires confidence, self confidence - something we don't have Rafa is not bringing this club anywhere fast (certainly not forward). It's not good enough and it should not be tolerated.
CaptainXabi Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 They can both f*** off with sacking him. Yank c**** But he should seriously think about walking. This isn't going to turn aroundOur current form is not the owners' fault. Sorry, but it's time to face facts. I still dont' want Rafa sacked, but he has to bear a lot of the responsibility for what's going on right now.
Barnesy_10 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Never thought I would say this, but think I would be relieved to see Rafa go in the summer... hes had his chances, we are lined up to have the worst season yet in the league under him. I can't take any more of this... it won't be long before we could be out of the running for 4th, never mind 1st. If any players threaten to leave if Rafa goes then they can piss off and be satisfied with mediocrity elsewhere.. No doubt people will post the obligatory shot of Rafa with the European cup.....
alias75 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Im still backing Rafa but i do think he needs to look hard at the way hes doing things and stop being so stubborn when things obviously aren't working. 1. Pick your strongest team and stick to it as best you can2. Play Gerrard on the right i think the team is better with Alonso, Mascherano and Gerrard in the team3. Reward players on form, i really think hes lost some players that know whatever they do they'll be rotated4. Cut the squad, we have too many average players in the squad a smaller squad would almost force him to stick to his best team more often. Lets promote a few young players who will at least be enthusiastic when called upon. He has to realise the way hes doing things isnt working, i know hes stubborn but things can't continue like this.
Guest Snorky Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 He's lost me now and judging by the last five games he's lost the players as well. Is it a co-incidence that not one player has gone public supporting him ? He's been told he's safe, the stadium has been announced - so what's the reason for that s*** tonight ? Torres stopped more Liverpool attacks than Ferdinand and O'Neill put together. He made Kuyt look good. Torres is class, but sorry if you play s*** you play s*** and should get dragged off. Crouch has scored two in two and sits in his a*** whilst Torres and Kuyt do an impersonation of the chuckle brothers. Why was Benayoun taken off ? Rafa you lost me tonight, any team with an ounce of heart can beat us. We struggled against part-timers FFS. Please go before you ruin every good memory. And those wanting to save him, be very careful what you are doing.
