Ragnor the Horn Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 What would be acceptable to get these knob jockeys to sadle up and ride on out of Anfield for good. Loosing to Havant & Waterlooville.Going out of the champions league against Milan Not qualifying for next years champions league.Finishing mid table.Relegation. Discuss.
Guest Ant Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 That would just give them ammo to get Benitez out. It's the money they care about, not the success or lack of it.

I thought this thread was gonna be about different levels of terrorist action In which case I'd have said, burgle the house by all means, daub it with vile slogans, egg the cars smear excrement if you must...but don't shoot the windows as a child could be inside the house
Gunga Din Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 i think this season football wise should just be written off and all efforts concentrated on getting those two loons out. i'm now even contemplating not going back if they remain in charge
John am Rhein Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Taking of hostages should be considered
pipnasty Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 i think this season football wise should just be written off and all efforts concentrated on getting those two loons out. It's weird, isn't it? I've been thinking the same thing recently too. I think there has to be an acceptance that this season has gone and that any criticism of the team and players should be put into this context too (except for Risse and Kuyt ) It appears that the players are struggling with this too. There is edginess everywhere. It's f***ing appalling.

Complete f*cking write off. I'd happily finish 1 point above the relegation zone if those two w*nkers were gone. I've been thinking of giving my PTS up next season and not bothering. Never thought i'd feel like that.

Falconhoof Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 The crowd went flat after Villa scored and the protest songs were almost completely forgotten. On the phone ins on the way home the majority of the calls were anti Rafa and one prick was saying that if it takes H&G to get rid of Rafa then its a price worth paying.I was encouraged by the amount of chanting there was but I worry that the appetite for a long struggle might not be widely held if we don't improve on the pitch.

pipnasty Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Feck, if things are as bad as reported, not only this season has gone s***. One step at a time - let's write this season off first before we write the future off
Falconhoof Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I just can't understand how people can't see the link between the two. I think many people can, a lot of others are going to need a more convincing. When did the battle behind the scenes start to effect performances and results though ? Because we had some shocking performances earlier in the season.
Gunga Din Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I just can't understand how people can't see the link between the two. i've no doubt it has had an effect of sorts, but there is no way i can believe it can be used for an excuse for lack of effort or poor team selection
reniformis Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 i've no doubt it has had an effect of sorts, but there is no way i can believe it can be used for an excuse for lack of effort or poor team selectionDifferent circumstances, but look at the mancs when Ferguson announced he was retiring. Baffling team selections and the players looking like they didn't give a s***. Since he decided to stay on indefinately and end the uncertainty things got a lot better for them, no?

Stevie H Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 i think this season football wise should just be written off and all efforts concentrated on getting those two loons out. i'm now even contemplating not going back if they remain in chargewas saying this the other night. not only is the season a write-off in football terms because of what has gone on off the pitch, but it's a year wasted in the careers of gerrard, carra, sami, finnan. . . .all players not getting any younger.
Hobbsie Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Want to try and keep something positive going, I don't think the season is a complete write off. Ok, we're not going to win the league but whichever way you look at things its not going to do the club any good to under achieve further - still things to play for....and this is coming from somebody who's come off the happy pills!
reniformis Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 such as ?OK, maybe the team selection thing is off but I believe the second point stands. Lets face it Rafa made baffling team selections even before all this chaos. The point I was trying to make was that the retirement thing caused the kind of uncertainty that led to their players underperforming. Ours seem to be doing the same, but worse given that we were worse to begin with.
Rimbeux Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I think many people can, a lot of others are going to need a more convincing. When did the battle behind the scenes start to effect performances and results though ? Because we had some shocking performances earlier in the season. What I will say is that most teams suffer a dip through the season, we had one in between two international breaks (poor play, CL defeats, but no league defeats), which seems to have armed our sage owners with enough encouragement to remove the manager. It's the recovery from that form that I think has been hindered against the backdrop of all the uncertainty.
sutty Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 On united... Team selection wise, he insisted on playing 4-5-1 and the fans were chanting 4-4-2 at him and stuff They got booed off the field at OT a couple of times as well.

I remember at Anfield they were going mental shouting attack, attack when they beat us when O'shea scored.
