floyd the barber Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Its time for some togetherness here....time to get behind ALL our players. voronin, riise, finnan, carra, kuyt, pennant all have come in for some vicious abuse of late...we need to leave this behind, with all the trouble behind the scenes is it any wonder our side as a whole looks a mess right now.. We need to focus our support and abuse in different ways.. Lets get rid of the owners, it can be done and it needs to be done.....what they have admited today is a total disgrace..it might be ok in america..it isnt ok here.. im f`king livid right now
RafaShanks Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Lets get rid of the owners, it can be done and it needs to be done I'm listening...
Redkop Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 (edited) Someone start an online petition to get rid of G & H and I'll sign it. http://www.petitiononline.com/ That Hicks t*** is summat else Edited January 14, 2008 by Redkop
floyd the barber Posted January 14, 2008 Author Posted January 14, 2008 if we can show the amount of passion and world class atmosphere that happens during a champs league game at anfield, we can do it for this...... remember the justice for the 96 chant at anfield for the arsenal game last season was friggin amazing and will be remembered far more than the game.......we need to start with something like this....and forget the luton game its too soon....this needs to get coverage.. 21 Jan, 2008 Aston Villa H 20:00 or 19 Feb, 2008 Inter Milan Champions League Last 16 (1) H 19:45 A change is needed, we need to force the change
RafaShanks Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Lets get back to reality. The only way we're gonna get these dumb c**ts out of our club is by kidnapping their children and putting guns to their heads. They are stuck on the other side of the Atlantic and do not attend any games apart from when they bother to turn up for a big game. Protests and petitions will acheive feck all IMHO. The only chance we have of getting them out soon is if they fail to meet the deadline in respect of the refinancing of the loan.
Redwire Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 The only way we're gonna get these dumb c**ts out of our club is by kidnapping their children and putting guns to their heads. I'm up for it. Anyone got a big van?

Long shot I know....but still.
Armin_Tamzarian Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 What if said protests get the banks jittery? Long shot I know....but still. That's the only leverage we have and it won't last long. If the support could unite behind some simple, concise principles, linked to some pointed questions and gather as much support / coverage as possible from LFC fans round the world then maybe some of the RBS calculations on pay per view sales/marketing spend may start to look marginal. Once the deal is signed we're stuck with them, we may well be anyway but if there is any window of opportunity, however small, then it's now whilst the deal is still being finalised.

nb Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I am sure that protests will have an effect. Gillette's son is at Anfield and will report back, the media will cover it etc. These last few weeks have been surreal. I feel that I almost can`t relate to this s*** anymore. Two d****eads are seriously messing up our club. This must stop before I lose interest in football. I f***ing hate Hicks!
Knox_Harrington Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I think online petitions are s***. Let's do something better.
Rimbeux Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Armin is right. Whomever is going to lend them the dough needs to be targeted/approached with objections.

meepins Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 (edited) I agree, the online petitions are ineffective for the job at hand. It served only as a morale boost personally for Benitez when he found himself disrespected by the owners. It was a nice sentiment and definitely worth the minimal effort that went into it all the same, not to completely disparage it.To get the cancer known as G and H out will take a very organised campaign of boycotting matches. It is an incredibly difficult thing to do given the immense demand for tickets / season tickets. However if they are truly determined to stay and bring this club down - it could be the only way to remove them.*edit - Putting some form of pressure on a lender is also a good idea. I've no idea how that could be accomplished. Perhaps the threat of a boycott. Edited January 14, 2008 by meepins
Sion Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 The only game I guess they'll be here for in the near future is Inter.

Obviously this won't happen, but we could start by boycotting our home games. Not only would it hit them hard financially (and give them a possible shortfall in gate receipts they were expecting), but it would also show everybody what we think, and show them that actions speak louder than words.

The only game I guess they'll be here for in the near future is Inter. I might be wrong, but don't think they will. If we get past Inter, then they'll turn up for the semi.
Guest Si Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 It would be f***ing hilarious if these clowns turned up at the Anfield box in the next few weeks. They will have to leave under cover of darkness.
meepins Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 (edited) To the detriment of the team that Rafa will put out for games at Anfield? This is probably the only tool available to fans. Moaning in a forum counts for nothing. These two are only interested in money and thats how you get to them, if indeed that is the course people want to take. Edited January 14, 2008 by meepins
Guest churchwa Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Perhaps if we can get behind the players and Manager, protest against the owners it might work. It seems to me that G&H want to be loved. If we show how much we dislike them they may feel it is not worth their time, effort, energy and money. This might just force them to sell for a nice profit to DIC.
growler Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 season tickets are paid for, and there is a long queue for general buying.
Guest Si Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Never going to work. There must be thousands of people who go to the game who havnt got an inkling about what today really means. They might have heard a radio bulletin or quick piece in the paper but the gravity of the situation will be lost on many, many fans i suspect. Ive met plenty of Reds who dont know about the boycott so where do we begin.
chrisbonnie Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 a boycott is generally what would hit home more than anything but actually getting the boycott across to every fan is damn near impossible, unless the Liverpool echo actually put it up on their front page, but i think theres 2 chances of that happening, slim, and none
