honourablegeorge Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Skrtel signed, Klinsmann gone, Rafa talking about trying to sign players but being quoted €40M - I'm more optimistic that things behind the scenes are starting to settle a bit than I was. Be nice if we f***in' t*** Boro'.
eskton Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 and sign 2 forwards with pace to replace kuyt and crouch

stressederic Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I really dislike Boro. It would be very nice if we could stuff them.
richt71 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 What was that about a €40m player? Silva? Just turned 22 a day or so ago.
Hassony Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 the media won't rest until they get Rafa the sack

The_Adder Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Anyone got a link to this 40m player quote?!
honourablegeorge Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 Anyone got a link to this 40m player quote?! Maldini mentioned it in the January transfer thread,
Jarg Armani Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 the media won't rest until they get Rafa the sacktrue enough, but this was wenger last year. if we start winning again they'll get bored and badger someone else for a while.also, it's largely the club's fault for starting and perpetuating the rafa out mess. it's that shower of fuggen g*******s we should be scared of, not the fleet street ones.
Jarg Armani Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Maybe if we start performing on the pitchwe willand Rafa stops messing around with the team,he will to a certain degree, and the media will never admit it.all these stores will feck off altogether.they won't.
Leo No.8 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 (edited) It's certainly looking slightly more promising, with Skrtel signed and noises about us showing an interest in a couple of very highly rated young players in Huntelaar and Fernandez. The press have got it in for us though, without a doubt. That c*nt Bascombe started all the hysteria with his 'The Americans will sack Benitez and replace him with Mourinho' stuff, and believing him to be a trusted Liverpool source the rest of them have gone from there with little or no evidence at all to back most of the articles that have been written. We've all gone completely nuts in recent months what with Rafa's little paddy, the ensuing fallout and the stadium re-design, I've felt pretty jumpy myself about it all. However if we sign another quality player this window or tie up Mascherano then I think we should all just get off the owners' backs because they'll have done their job and provided the required funds. Our squad is pretty strong all in all, we are still only short of a really top quality player or two now - one out wide and one up front in my opinion. I still think we can be there or there abouts at the end of the season, we have always finished strongly under Rafa, probably due to players being regularly rested. _00_deathscar Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Some bloke on RAWK disproved (kinda) the 'finishing strongly' myth.
McBain Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 We're nowhere in the league. The stadium still hasn't seen two bricks put together. Rafa will be sacked in the summer and the owners are still c*nts

That may be dependent on the Sissoko move.
MFletcher Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I'll be a lot happier with Statler and Waldorf once they cough up the f***ing money to keep Mascherano.
Rich Gobey Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Some bloke on RAWK disproved (kinda) the 'finishing strongly' myth. Ahh but Thats only because were f***ed and everythings ruined for ever.

With all these positive thoughts going around I was having withdrawls from the drama (Sarcasm) Would like to see that 40m Rafa quote though if someone has the link?
RafaShanks Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Would like to see that 40m Rafa quote though if someone has the link? Why is everyone so obsessed with this supposed quote? Rafa probably enquired about a player that he wanted and the club told him to feck off, hence the 40m response from them.
ricflairandy Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 true enough, but this was wenger last year. if we start winning again they'll get bored and badger someone else for a while.also, it's largely the club's fault for starting and perpetuating the rafa out mess. it's that shower of fuggen g*******s we should be scared of, not the fleet street ones. No it wasnt, dspite wenger being worse off than us at this sstage last year, he went largly under the raider and didnt get any press crtisism. Fergie the year befoer yes, but wneger for some reason always gets left alone. I mean most press will tell you that for the last 6 years arsenal have played amazing football the best in the world infact, when in actuall fact since the ubeaton seaosn it hasnt been that great, man utd hav eplayed better football.

During the pre-boro press conference, Rafa said his business was done for this window.
muleskinner Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 We're being softened up for the kill. Nothing has changed for me, I won't believe anything these pair of b******s say about the stadium until the physical evidence is in front of my eyes.

The only thing that has changed is that they are shopping at the dollar store these days!
