The league need to take a serious look at how they do the fixtures, they're a mess. Other big leagues seem to manage ok with the amount of games, the Premier League is the only one with loads of teams having played different amounts of games, it goes on for months on end too, the teams above us are at an advantage because we're under more pressure to produce because of the gap.

Why are West Ham allowed to dictate to us when the game in hand is played? Surely the league should be the ones setting the date

I agree, I don't understand how a game moved in August, still hasn't been played. There have been plenty of opportunities, such as league cup game dates and free mid week dates.

there needs to be a rule for the games to be played within a certain time frame if delayed, say within 6 weeks of the original date.

Its not like the CL qualifiers are a new thing is it?

Other leagues tend to have the number of games aligned, so not sure why the 'superior' premier league cannot.

Both clubs have to agree a date before it goes before the Premiership Fixtures Committee, it then goes before the Sky Live Matches Committee, then to Setanta Live Match Forum, then to the relevant Police Constabulary, and to local Fire Service, Paramedics ~(including St Johns or Red Cross, and finally to the Local Council Office.

So it's a nice and simple process then?

Happens every bloody year. Why they have to have midweek games in the first week, which always clash with the CL qualifier, I don't know.

Changed the Villa game next week and I'm over for it. Changed to the poxy Monday! When do we play Monday? Ridiculous carry-on.

So we play Villa at home on the Monday and then not again until West Ham away on the following Wednesday?????

What fixture congestion.

Not exactly plenty of midweek dates between first day of the season and New Year. Just one! Week 49 (Dec 4/5)
