Gunga Din Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 has someone missed out a decimal point? i'd throw in Riise as a added extra
yellow jumper Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 would be a good deal for us... but i don't think he's as bad as his current showing. and he'll get more time to make decisions on the ball in italy. ranieri has a good eye, and knows him too, although he did play him right back at times for valencia.

Guest Cardie Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 We can't sign a player then sell a player, it plays havoc with the net spend.

Raj Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Think its best for both parties that he moves on. I've always liked Momo and hope he's a success wherever he moves to.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Good news. He's still a good player, tbh. Just doesn't fit in that well with what we need, considering the players around him. Still, he was positively outstanding in the first six months of 2006. If he can redisover that level of passing, he'll be a start for them.

By pressing the ball further up the pitch, he allows Alonso to dictate the tempo of the game from a deeper position. When we had Gerrard on the right and Kewell on the left, I believe that was the only season where we have had a real balance in the midfield.

We did have a run where we mostly stuck to the same group of some 14 players though, which I think helped a lot. Edited January 7, 2008 by Anders Honoré
