The confidence of a few weeks ago looks well in the past .

Kuyt today showed his true self. Worked his a*** off by chasing down balls headed towards the keeper unecessarily.

 

He looked knackered and has for a while. I question his fitness more than anything else.

 

In the end though, 3 of our 4 strikers are not good enough.

Crouch is a better striker than Kuyt but then again so is The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase.

 

Crouch's inablity to dominate in the air, is TV-kickingly annoying though.

 

Torres should be wrapped in cotton wool and kept in a Tutankhamun style crpyt between matches.

 

The though of us having to make do with the other three chills me to the bone...

Kuyt was bad. Really f***ing bad. But i thought a few others got close. Finnan and Lucas were all over the place in particular. I've no idea really what Lucas is but whatever he is he cant show it against teams that press the ball.

That said, he's first touch is s****, he can't pass water, has no pace or football brain.

 

You have to ask why Rafa is persisting with him.

 

I'd happy take £5m for him is someone is stupid enough to offer us that.

Probably one of the biggest slumps in a footballing career, how has he gone from scoring 83 goals in 122 appearances for Feyenoord (goal machine like) to scoring only 21 goals in 71 appearances for Liverpool. Dirk must be thinking that he should never have left Holland.

 

His confidence has totally gone to pieces and he is another long line of Liverpool strikers/forwards who can't seem to hack it mentally at a big club like Liverpool.

He doesn't have the pace to make up for mistakes or a bad first touch or to recover from bad positioning etc. and his decision making isn't as good as I though it first was. Just not happening for him at all at the moment.

 

Have to say Rafa's choice of forwards and the amount he's gone through since he's been here is f***ing shocking.
