Jezzman Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Well? Who do reckon deserves the YNWA player of the year title for 2007 ?
fred milne Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I reckon Torres has been the player of the season so far but if we are talking about the calendar year then I'd probably go for Mascherano.
Jezzman Posted December 27, 2007 Author Posted December 27, 2007 I reckon Torres has been the player of the season so far but if we are talking about the calendar year then I'd probably go for Mascherano. I meant the calendar year....
Guest Anders Honoré Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Reina for me - he's been peerless. Otherwise mascherano.
RafaShanks Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Masch. Head and shoulders above anyone else.
Gunga Din Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 the season so far, Torres or Gerrard, since the start of 2007, Gerrard
Beardsley Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Pepe all the way.Stevie had a terrible start.
Florist Cinema Pond Goal Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Pennant would have been in with a shout if he hadn't got injured. Was top class Jan-May.
Hassony Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Pennant would have been in with a shout if he hadn't got injured. Was top class Jan-May. he was ok, an improvement on how he started with us, but not a contender for player of the year and not good enough for us the long term
fred milne Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Pennant would have been in with a shout if he hadn't got injured. Not a chance.
Suth Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Pennant would have been in with a shout if he hadn't got injured. Was top class Jan-May. bizarre
Diarmuid Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I can't remember Reina having a bad game this year, so Reina.
Florist Cinema Pond Goal Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Not a chance. Our top assist supplier 06/07 and one of our better performers in Athens, my statement is based on the premise that he would kick on from August-December. As it stands he's no-where near Gerrard, Reina, Mascherano and Torres.
Florist Cinema Pond Goal Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 bizarre Was he not good January to May then?
fred milne Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Was he not good January to May then?He was average and, as Hassony said, is never going to be good enough to hold down a 1st team place.
fred milne Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 One of our better performers in Athens. That's a myth. He was up against a very poor LB who was on a yellow but once more there was no quality end product.
RP Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Pennant would struggle to make it into a Top Ten, IMO.
