I am sick of hearing about all this now.

Hicks is now in the process of trying to refinance his sports entity and is lumping his 50% of LFC in with it.

There is no guarantee that he will get the deal done.

Can't stand the guy.

That's the way these leverage junkies work. He'll package the whole thing together (the Dallas Stars, Texas Rangers, Liverpool FC the arenas etc), take them public, and pocket the cash to use for other stuff.

Like I said, I don't think it will be done. But, if it does, it doesn't mean much as long as the debt is being serviced. In order to service the debt properly, all of the entities have to be operating right.

The loan they are taking out for the club in the short term is crazy though. Close to 20 million a year in servicing.

By all the entities you mean all their American assets i presume, correct me if im wrong but by the looks of the stuff online the rangers fans would be glad if someone bought them off Hicks and the Hockey team has been piled up with debt and the quality of their team is going down steeply...

So, they dont look like their operating right....

Once he took it public it would create a bunch of money which could then be used elsewhere. You'd hope that would be for players but there is no guarantee of that.

A bad stock price would be a result of poor operations of the clubs In theory it could make us and the other teams operate properly.

In my mind, I wouldn't want a multitude of stockholders ahving an influence on decisions by putting pressure on corporate management.

True, he has never let go of his other assets easily, which has set a bad precedent considering that he hasn't done much to get them back to the pinnacle after the initial success....
