crisps Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 (edited) nicked the idea from rawk - quite interesting too see what everyone thinks although I'm quite glad some of them aren't the liverpool manager! what would you say our strongest starting eleven is? ------------------Reina----------------Arbeloa---Carragher--Agger--Aurelio-----------Masherano-------------------------------------Alonso--------------Benayoun---Gerrard---Babel--------------------Torres----------------- Edited December 23, 2007 by crisps
Coyler Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 I don't know, who are we playing and how do they set up? What competition is this?

crisps Posted December 23, 2007 Author Posted December 23, 2007 I don't know, who are we playing and how do they set up? What competition is this? We're not concerned about the other team as we kick their ass in the match.

Guest Ant Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 I don't think we have a strongest 11, our players have never been given the chance to establish themselves in a said position. That being said. Reina Arbeloa Carra Agger Riise Gerrard Javier Alonso Babel Torres Kuyt. But even then I'm not convinced, Benayoun, Crouch, Kewell all can claim a place.
Guest spk Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 reina Finnan carra agger riise gerrard mach alonso kewell*isnt_one* Torres
Guest spk Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 kuyts a bit rubbish tho to be fair neither kuyt nor crouch are sufficiently consistant and i dont believe voronin has had enough time on the pitch with a decent partner, though this could be for private reasons rafa knows from training. babel is ace, really ace, but as yet he isnt strong or intelligent enough to get past players from the start and needs his pace when the opposing teams defence is tired. it'll come, but as yet he isn't ready. the good thing is he's scoring which will do his confidence the world of good going forward. benny's awesome but against the "bigger boys mrs patterson" can be pushed off the ball too easy. love arbeloa but for me, regardless of the superfans opinion, riise has the better experience and can handle the big games so much better. kewells still getting his fitness after a long time out and he at times looks very off the pace. pennants great but i'd rather have the creativity of mach, alonso and gerrard on the pitch than sacrifice any of them for his presence. fwiw the rest are squad players imo.
slapnuts Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 voronins rubbish too. I would like to see babel and torres up top

Rimbeux Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 It's wasnt the spelling but the fact his name was there at all that made me go "D'oh" Come on, he makes the squad surely? On second assessment, perhaps I have Aurelio in the CL squad instead.
Coyler Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Kuyt and Torres are the best available pair up front by a mile. Everybody else is being picked on the assumption that they'll be performing to something close to their best form (nobody's including "Torres-having-one-of-his-nightmares" in their team) and with that proviso Kuyt is a shoo-in.
Ben 23 Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 People who's teams have included both Riise and Kuyt, show just how far we are from the top 3.
Rimbeux Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 People who's teams have included both Riise and Kuyt, show just how far we are from the top 3. Who's teams include such as Eboue, Brown, Ferreira...
Ben 23 Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Who's teams include such as Eboue, Brown, Ferreira... No they don't. But they are still far better than Riise and f***ing Kuyt and they aren't first choice at there teams.
