Just got back from the match

Nice to get back on winning ways again, we never played that good and Pompey never impressed me given their away form so far this season.

Bit busy today so never saw as much as I'd like, but hey ho - three points.

I am now celebrating Ant's birthday with copious amounts of bottles in the fridge, it could be a long night ;)

Milk and apple juice. Nice!

We did what we do best - made the opposition look s****. And we managed to grab four in the process.

I'm happy. Thought Kewell, Riise and Kuyt were quite poor on the ball but overall a very good game by the lads.

Oh, and Kuyt's miss early on cost me £110.;)

can someone tell the player to stop back healing the f***ing ball, how many times did we give the ball away today doing that.

Seconded. I would dock any players their week's wages. :D

If there was something wrong with the ball they should get extra credit for it

Pompey weren't impressive because we were too good for them and squeezed them high up the pitch. And Mascherano was superb.

Riise was poor, Kewell certainly wasn't and despite a couple of dodgy decision making moments, neither was Kuyt who ran their back four into the ground.

Kewell didn't have one of his best games, Riise was typical Riise as was Kuyt, always running no end product.

It was a combination of their defence being absolutely utter Gash and Fernando Torres playing like he was on speed.

I only get to one match a year thanks to living in Oz. Harry had a promising first half but was utter gash in the second, with almost nothing he tried coming off. Still, at least he did keep trying. Oh, and it was an absolute pleasure to watch Torres in the flesh :o .

I thought Kewell was poor and would have subbed him off rather than Benayoun.

I was really surprised to see the amount of MOTM votes Kewell got on here. Everyone I spoke to at the game thought he was poor as well.

You had time to look elsewhere than just box 30?

Box 30 was special ;)

Dont think you're giving the team half the credit they deserve. We pressed them high up the pitch and squeezed the life out of them. They were scared of Torres and we didn't let them play. Attacking wise we didnt really get out of 2nd gear because we didnt have to after 20 minutes, but we worked extremely hard and barely gave them a sniff. Mascherano was superb.

I thought Torres didn't play particularly well yet comes away with a brace and had a big hand in the other 2 goals.

Weird.
