Seen them given. Against us. This season.

I've not known a season where we've had so many bad penalty calls against us, and so many good penalty calls not given for us.

Wasn't a pen. He mis-controlled it straight onto his own arm, and it wasn't even like it was preventing our player from getting the ball. Even though some of the pens given against us have been unlucky, think even United playing at home would have struggled to get a pen out of that.

Was he offside for the goal? From the replay it looked like Reina was past him when he hit the shot

No.

But the pen was identical to Carra's against Villa. Both decisions go against us. No consistency again.

I really don't think it was.

You're entitled to be wrong.

Really can't be bothered to argue about it.

In my opinion the Tevez one today was never a handball. The Carra one was arguable. If you disagree, fair enough.

The Tevez one wasn't a handball. Carra leaned into the ball at Villa and you could see why it was given.

Even I'm willing to admit that giving a penalty for that today wouldn't have been correct.

You either give them both or neither of them....I'd say the later.

Interesting point that, if Tevez was closer to the line than Reina it should be offside, not everyone will be aware of this though.

Reina was behind Tevez when the ball was hit, but not when it got to him. no offside.

You could see Reina signal it was offside at first only to turn around and see that stupid t*** Benayoun still standing by the post.

Schoolboy error from Benayoun that one.

IF Benayoun had been stood behind the line and in the goal, would that have made it offside?.

That's what i was thinking as well, but i think he had one foot on the line and one foot on the pitch though making it a moot point.

Not if he went off purposely, maybe if his momentum took him off.

Having played football and discussed this exact rule with a lot of people I think you would find they dont. :)
