Cobs Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 i'd most like to draw (in order) MilanMadridInterBarcaSeville
Gunga Din Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 neither AC Milan or Real Madrid have ever played at Anfield. time is running out. one of those two please

I haven't been impressed with the general level of defending I have seen during the groups stages. We look really strong defensively at the moment. That part of Mascheranos game was very good tonight. With that end locked down and Torres so brilliant at the other end, we can be among the strongest contenders. Edited December 11, 2007 by meepins

Milan know how to get a result in Europe and I wouldn't be able to deal with Inzaghi shinning or elbowing in the goal that knocks us out. I think Torres would be so up for Madrid he'd almost do the job on his own.

psl Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Would like to see us get Real Madrid. We've not played them. Done the Barca/Milan thing.
Cheesecake Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Sevilla please! Let Milan/Real concentrate on knocking out Chelsea and Man UIt's only fair like!

Well we have in the 1981 European Cup Final, Barney Rubble anyone? But as Big Wayne points out we've never played them at the Bernabeu or at Anfield in a competitive game. I would like either Real for the above reason or Inter simply so we can get revenge for that 1965 Semi-Final defeat where they cheated us out of winning the European Cup for the first time.

Benzo-13 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Real Madrid or Inter.. Revenge for '65 would be nice!!!
MFletcher Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I think it's not a case of who we think would be the "easiest" draw. I think it's quite the reverse. Every team in pot 1 will dread being drawn against us. I do hope it's Madrid though.

Guest Snorky Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 It would have been nice to have finished top, but that's gone. All of the teams will look at who they can play and not one of them will want to play us, if they draw us then they are immediately going to feel hard done by and disappointed. Psyched out before a ball has been kicked

Psyched out before a ball has been kicked we've lost one knockout European game since Rafa has been here, and that was against Benfica, who we were expected to beat easily. every other team we have played over two legs we have beaten. fear no one, not a single team will fancy coming to Anfield

Psyched out before a ball has been kicked Every single one of the (non English) group winners are going to being pissing themselves that they draw us. The rest of the runners up are likely to be pretty poor (so that's Man U/Chelsea/Arsenal(?) in the last eight). As everyone else has been saying, bring on Madrid.
