SkippyjonJones Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 ref was a bit of a c***...* *that is an opinion - not a proven fact
Cooldude Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 No way, it is a proven fact He was absolutely f***ing blind out there today
Guest RedLegend Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Ref was crap. Players were crap. Management was crap. A bit of a horrow show all round really.
D.Boon Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Its because he changed the system to 4-3-3 (even though he changed it last week and we won and all said it was a great formation)
meepins Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 No playmaker in the middle, no proper wide player. We had no control over the game and conceded three. I blame Rafas selection and tactics first and foremost, regardless of whether the referee was rubbish.
mattster Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 That was a f*cking disgraceful display from the referee, but also from our manager for a dodgy team selection and some shocking substitutions.
Earl Hafler Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 (edited) Poor decisions by the ref compounded poor tactics from Rafa. I said at the start of the match it was a bizarre formation, team selection. Main question - why does Rafa continue to play Momo instead of someone better like Benayoun, Babel, Kewell ? How many tough tackling midfielders do we need ? I had hoped Rafa's " choose a team that's just about good enough to beat the opposition and play people in strange positions " days were behind him. Nope. Points dropped against the top sides. What a great result for us that Arsenal draw was... Edited December 8, 2007 by Big Stuff

Jim D Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Its because he changed the system to 4-3-3 (even though he changed it last week and we won and all said it was a great formation) Yes and in the past five games we've been rotating but no one was complaining about it then. One team selection later and everyone is jumping on the rotation bandwagon again. We will play worse than that this season and win, like I said in the match thread it just wasn't our day, everything went against us. Less I say about the officials the better.
Earl Hafler Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Its because he changed the system to 4-3-3 (even though he changed it last week and we won and all said it was a great formation) Playing at least one proper wide player in Kewell, it was a 4-4-2 come 4-3-3.

Florist Cinema Pond Goal Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 The hardest thing to take is that I really didn't see it coming. The initial line up made you wonder but I'm still shocked now. We cannot let this snowball or our season could be f***ed in a week's time.

Leaving aside the match officials I thought we were very poor today. Yes we hit the woodwork twice but they came from speculative long range efforts. Never looked convincing all game long.

We played 4-3-3 before as was pointed out and we stuffed them (Newcastle ?- I can't recall), **shocking revelation** you actually need to play the right players in the right positions. Cooldude Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 The hardest thing to take is that I really didn't see it coming. For the past couple of seasons, we're in trouble when we start expecting us to win. What's been happening for so long is that something s*** comes out of the corner and knocks that expectation down. Wasn't confident when the team sheet was out pre-game, even less confident after the subs were made
D.Boon Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 6-0-6 is muppet central Bloke on now doesnt even know the players names
Guest Ant Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 so you all want rid of rafa now Who is saying that?
