The SPL have allowed Rangers to postpone their game on the weekend to give them their best chance to qualify in the CL, is there any chance the PL would do the same for us, and would we prefer to play Reading on Saturday anyway so we dont fall too many games behind the other teams?

Really, I was under the impression that a UEFA law prevents this from happening. Interesting if true. Precedent !!

Celtic are in the same situation this week. How come their game wasn't postponed last weekend?

fec that! I'd be well pissed off if they postponed our game for that reason :D

Might do more harm than good anyway, having 10 days between games.

I think Italy allow this as well, postponing or moving games at late notice to help teams in Europe

They do indeed allow this. Not sure allow is the correct word though. Surely UEFA allow it and the national associations are just following the rules.

the last thing we need is to be another game in hand behind and be 12 points behind Arsenal.

exactly, especially with our current form

by the way, am I right in thinking that other team had to agree to postpone the match before the scottish FA gave the go ahead

Maybe it's something written into PL rules, but is in the power of national FAs elsewhere.
