Rafa

Didn’t really know how to start this, but here goes.

I’ve not posted but lurked on several forums RAWK, TLW, ROATL & here, and I’ve taken a lot board, mainly all this stuff with Rafa and the owners.

I had a disturbing call late this afternoon, it simply said “Rafa is a dead man walking”. Not completely naming the source, but it’s come via a player’s family. I told a few friends and from what I’ve heard, read and been told, I honestly believe that Rafa is seriously on borrowed time, but it’s a big but and only my own opinion is that it’s only the fans this week that could possibly save him, if at all.

The result on Wednesday is immaterial, what needs to come across is that the fans will not tolerate the dismissal of Rafa Benitez. I know there is something already organised for The Sandon, but for it to work the whole ground needs to be as one for 90 minutes.

The crowd need to be like an army, I hate the term Red Army as it’s too Manc and Nationwide, but we need Rafa’s Army. We need to be loud enough so they don’t need a phone to hear us over the pond, we need to let everyone know that regardless of what the name plate says above the door, regardless of what the name says on the deeds of sale – Liverpool Football Club is ours and we want Rafa.

Thanks.

like the "justice for the 96" from the arsenal game.....it came across as insanly loud on tv, thats what needs to happen wed..

"Rafael Benitez..........." needs to be sung, non-stop for the first 10minutes..The game is live on tv in the usa....hicks and gillett will definetly get the point

No Snorky's point needs repeating on its own, its lost in the thread about the row.

The focus now needs to be on Wednesday and let Parry know that he is the dead man walking if Rafa gets the boot !!!

But I thought Rafa was clueless, knows nothing, doesn't understand the Prem, doesn't know his own best team etc and so on

Never a dull day around here at the moment...

Obviously it had to be a new thread. But he still hates those that play the 'insider' angle. Okay, I'll bite. Switch on the tannoy and start "Rafa, Rafael...", fight everyone off, you'll be a hero. It'd be like The Shawshank Redemption.

There is a point about the fans though. Whilst RTK are busying themselves for a show of support on Wednesday night they may as well drum up some support of a mass walk-out, or a 'turn-around' at the very least, for Sunday's game if Rafa isn't there.

aye true, no harm in repeating! Although I'm very sure that there will be a whole lot of support for Rafa that day!

Why Parry?

I remember a game when from the 30th-35th minute the crowd sang "Rafa-Rafael" non-stop and loud...it was feckin awesome. Imagine, 45 minutes of that...absolutely overwhelming it'll be.

On the flip side, H&G - if they really have the axe ready, which I don't think they do - won't give a crap cause it's not like they live down the road.

Feck me, you're a hypocrite.

As I'm currently arguing in another thread, there is nothing hypocritical about those who want Rafa out for footballing reasons (and I certainly don't) objecting to him getting the boot for non-footballing reasons, which is what is looming here.

That would go way beyond simply losing a manger (which in itself some may welcome). It would be a massive sea-change for the worse in the way in which our club is run and soemthing that everyone, regardless of their opinion about Rafa, should resist if at all possible.

Hypocrit.

Ever said or done the wrong thing ? especially after beer.

Ever said to a loved one that you cannot stand them in the heat of the moment and then regretted it ? Ofcourse you haven't so cast the first stone.

I heard some information and I wanted it to be posted as I thought it might make a difference. I started a new thread because I feared what I had heard would get lost in other threads.

You've no reason to apologise, justify yourself or even retract what you posted about wanting Rafa out. I disagreed with you, but as I've said, even his harshest critic (on a football level) would have to be opposed to the possibility of him getting the bullet for reaosns that have more to do with the egos of others than with team performance.

Thanks for passing on the info.

you lost a lot of credibility after your koptalkesq post match rant. You reap what you sow.

And if the owners share Snorky's view that he will never win us the league, and came to that conclusion after the Arsenal game as some reports suggest, they will argue that he has been sacked for footballing reasons. In fact I'll bet my house that's what they will say when the deed is done.
