honourablegeorge Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 (edited) Anyone heard that another partner of Gillett's may be lined up to buy out Hicks's share of the club? Would tie in with the recent Hicks/Roma rumours.... Edited November 27, 2007 by Macca

Maldini Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 f***, had hoped there's be a link to a story in here and it'd all be over
IgPig Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 f***, had hoped there's be a link to a story in here and it'd all be over Same here Damn you!
alias75 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 think that rumour was posted on here, at the moment that would be the best thing that could happen i think.
Hassony Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Gillett was always my favourite of the two, Hicks can feck off
honourablegeorge Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 f***, had hoped there's be a link to a story in here and it'd all be over I read it on another forum this morning, will try to find it (I read a lot of stuff this morning...). Would be nice if it were true, as Hicks is generally presented as the one driving the "debt on the club" issue, and has been the one rebuking Rafa too.

The rumour was posted on RAWK by a poster called cricket and he says his source is a Parry family member
honourablegeorge Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 The rumour was posted on RAWK by a poster called cricket and he says his source is a Parry family member Yep, that's exactly what I was referring too. I remember a cricket from another forum that occasionally knew stuff.
IgPig Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 isn't/wasn't that cricket the guy on here called downunder? Might be very wrong on that.
honourablegeorge Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 Here's what he said My understanding is not going to be sacked, Hicks and Gillet have fallen out big time over the funding of the club, Hicks wants to go to the bank and Gillet wants to stand by his word that no money will be borrowed, Gillet has been approached by a friend another Billioniare who has offered to purchase hicks half and because of all this there has been no money for transfer funds until it is settled, Also Hicks and Gillet are only speaking through Rick Parry. He attributes this to "a Parry family member!".
IgPig Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 (edited) With the time differences, and using Parry as a conduit, I expect this will be sorted out in approx 2015 Edited November 26, 2007 by Post Kuytal Glow
sutty Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 With the time differences, and using Parry as a conduit, I expect this will be sorted out in approx 2015 Parry has f***ed off to Barbados on a scouting mission for 3 months
Behind Enemy Lines Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 With the time differences, and using Parry as a conduit, I expect this will be sorted out in approx 201520:15 - not likely - Eastenders is still on
honourablegeorge Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 With the time differences, and using Parry as a conduit, I expect this will be sorted out in approx 2015 Does sort of explain Foster Gillett going home too.
fyds Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Here's what he saidHe attributes this to "a Parry family member!".Speculation (or information) of a genuinely intriguing kind. I suppose it's possible. Just to put 2+2 together and make a round 5.63.894.021 - I can't help remembering NYR saying about how he was talking top a billionaire (as you do) worth 4x what Hicks is worth, and when they got talking about football, not only was this guy keen, but he knew a very surprising amount about Liverpool.... Back and to the left, back and to the left...
fyds Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Does sort of explain Foster Gillett going home too.Hmmm... Foster Gillett, in the library with the lead pipe.
honourablegeorge Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 Back and to the left, back and to the left... Heh. That's a full scale tango right there. Bascombe did report a rift between the pair, didn't he? Was kind of dismissed at the time amidst the general head-in-the-sand attitude of many people to the new owners, though.

Back and to the left, back and to the left...yeah, NYR is always talking to billionaires that don't buy us. I'm (body)board of this. Edited November 26, 2007 by Paul Caruso
Anfield Fox Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I was hoping that G&H would have sold their other 3 sports clubs by now. I still find it hard to believe that between them they own 4 clubs, each with it's own needs and problems. I don't know much about the clubs but surely if they have to put money into one then it means another missing out.
