From LFC Online:

Benitez has gone?

By Adam Bryant

Sunday 25th November 2007

We have heard (from dubious sources) that Rafael Benitez has walked out of Anfield.

The Liverpool boss has been in conflict with club owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks regarding funds for signings during the January transfer window.

It was believed that the matter would be resolved when the parties met to discuss the future plans in December.

But, if the rumours are to be believed, it looks like Benitez has lost patience with the chairmen and decided to walk.

We stress that at the moment there is no confirmation of these events, but expect developments on Monday.

Tis true peeps Rafa is about to part company with LFC. Press Association have just infrormed the informed that there is to be a Press Conference tomorrow at Anfield. The American owners have agreed to pay off the outstanding remainder of Rafa Benitez's contract although any such figures will remain confidential same as any conditions attached to this will. The King is dead long live the King, till the next one anyway

Really hope it's tripe.

If the PA were informed of that, the stories would be on papers/bbc/sky websites within 5 minutes

Won't the LFC Online piece be the same thing ?

" Look, press, there's going to be a pc at Anfield on Monday about Rafa's resignation. Can you keep quiet til then ? "

It's not exactly copper bottomed.

LFC Online dont mention the press association.

Someone somewhere in the media would've got hold of it by know you'd think. Logically it doesnt add up, but that doesnt make me feel any better yet.
