That is if you are interested.

I think it will be Capello.

I want it to be Harry Redknapp.

If England are to win anything it needs to be someone like Capello.

I'm still pissing myself laughing at your own choice

on one hand i'd love it to be allardyce, just to watch him flounder and be hounded by press and fans. on the other hand i'd hate to see him fulfill such a lofty ambition.

I do know what you mean. Even if he fell on his copius butt, he'd still claim he was a success and the problem lay elsewhere and he just needed more time - and look at that Benitez....etc.

I think we need someone English, someone who understands the English game. Doesn't really matter if they've never won anything, have no tactical awareness, have never produced good football, never said or done anything to make you think they have the slightest chance of success, as long as they are English, they're sure to get the best out of our players.

In terms of who I want: Bryan Robson.

Can I have my piss back now?

Yes, of course.

But the FA being the complete fekwits as they are, it really wouldn't surprise me if Robson was one of the top choices. Maybe the excellent Barwick could take over as director of football (Is Barwick from Billy the Fish comics?) with Carlton Palmer as head coach.

Just checked on Betfair, and SCS is 1.03 not to be manager come Jan 08

why the fixation on Paul Jewell? He's not done a lot and achieved even less to show he's up for the job.

They'll make my day if it turns out to be Robson :D

Like, it's not as though England aren't the laughing stock currently.

Don't think there's any way that he would take the job with no trophy on offer until 2010. Had we somehow qualified, he might have taken it until 2008 but can't see it now.

Ideal, two years to get your team gelled, no pressure of must win fixtures, no prospect of getting sacked. Why wouldn't he take it. I think the qualifying would start early 2009 so if he took the job now he'd have just under two years before qualifying started.

I often laugh my self stupid at the number of major trophies he won in a short space of time at Chelsea, what a clown. If it wasn't for us he'd probably still be in a job.

Just can't see Mourinho signing up for 2 years of friendlies. Hope I'm wrong.
