Let's hope, Babel / Kuyt dont get pick for Holland

Let's Pepe remains on the bench for the whole of Euro 08, let's hope Spain gets knocked off early so it's early rest & relax for Xabi, Arbeloa, Torres

He earns his f*ckin living out of resting.

Only really affects Gerrard from an England point of view.

They will be tournament warm up fodder for the qualifying nations well into June anyway.

I think the South American world cup qualifiers can go on through June and July.

Argentina play in world cup qualifiers on 14th and 17th June, 2008. So, no rest at all for Mascherano.

Far more positive effect for Man U and Chelsea as others have pointed out. We may have an issue in terms of the hangover. Gerrard we hope will be able to put it away and dive into club matters, but he has a history of carrying setbacks around. Carson will hopefully recover well enough not to put his move in jeopardy, Crouch will hopefully not see doors closing.

More likely to see them opening on last nights display.

Depends if that means money or performance benefit to us or both I suppose, just get the impression England has been a good outlet for him

FWIW i think he's already gone. His England performances and goal ratio can't do his value any harm though.

I read that as the FA stands to lose tens of millions of pounds, they had already started arranging a series of friendly tours for the middle of next year, before yesterdays game.

****ing livid about this, to be honest.

"A nation is a form of cultural or social community. Nationhood is an ethical and philosophical doctrine and is the starting point for the ideology of nationalism. Members of a "nation" share a common identity, and usually a common origin, in the sense of ancestry, parentage or descent.

Usage also varies from country to country. As an example, the United Kingdom is an internationally recognised sovereign state, which is also referred to as a country and whose inhabitants have British nationality. It is however traditionally divided into four home nations - England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland."

Point no.1...Including Ireland in the Home Nations might be quite good.

Point no2...Internationals already take too much out of the domestic leagues and I really can't stand them, so I couldn't really give a shyte!

Thats why it is possible to have a prime minister of England from the South of Ireland, but he (or she) has to be of a particular religious persuasion.
