Eskimo Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Apparently we are interested in this fella, plays for Bilbao, some suggestion that he could be a replacement or Momo.
cymrococh Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 (edited) Hasn't he got a really long contract and massive minimum fee? Something like £17m? Can't see us paying that for him. Edited November 19, 2007 by Paul Caruso
The_Adder Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Hasn't he got a really long contract and massive minimum fee? Something like £17m? Can't see us paying that for him. Yup, something like that, meant to be brilliant and is only 19... Not sure where he'd fit with Lucas, Masch, Xabi and Stevie (let alone Momo), unless of course Stevie is gonna be given that 'free role' on the right, but why buy him for around £17m when we could buy a striker, CB, winger etc which surely MUST be higher priorities?
McBain Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Apparently we are interested in this fella, plays for Bilbao, some suggestion that he could be a replacement or Momo. Been in the english media about a week now
Rich Gobey Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Maybe Momo and Masch are on their way...
The_Adder Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Maybe Momo and Masch are on their way... No if you listen to Anny Road! Why o why would be pay £17m for Javi when Masch would cost the same (if you believe the figures in the media) and Masch is literally a monster
c00p Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Martinez and Mascherano are different kind of players. Mascherano is a defensive midfielder whereas Martinez is an attacking midfielder. Could all be bull to try and force MSI hands to keep the Mascherano fee low by saying we are looking at other players.
Ronnie Whelan Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Kaizer can you please give us a profile of this player in terms of his physical attributes in comparison to you in your prime and also some states such as average distance covered per match. Thanks in advance, Ronnie Whelan.
fyds Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 I want to know how many back-heeled goals he scores every week.
Beardsley Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Kaizer can you please give us a profile of this player in terms of his physical attributes in comparison to you in your prime and also some states such as average distance covered per match. Thanks in advance,Ronnie Whelan. My poor, fellow countryman
floyd Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Martinez and Mascherano are different kind of players. Mascherano is a defensive midfielder whereas Martinez is an attacking midfielder. We all dream of a team of Javier's
_00_deathscar Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Sell him now to end the speculation. Oh, and sell Gerrard too.
Magic8Ball Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Obviously Gerrard's leaving, CM an and moving to a "free role" on the righttoo right mate
Ronnie Whelan Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 I want to know how many back-heeled goals he scores every week. Dont make that into something it isn't.
The_MC Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Rafa Benitez is not planning a swoop for Athletic Bilbao youngster Javi Martinez. The Spanish media claimed over the weekend that the 19-year-old midfielder could be Anfield bound. However, Benitez today told Liverpoolfc.tv: "He is a young player who we know about because Bilbao paid good money for him. "But we are not watching the player and are not thinking about signing him, as I have read in the Spanish press." Reports suggested the Reds were in a two-way battle with Italian side Fiorentina over the £18million-rated youngster. offal
cymrococh Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 we're not thinking about it, we're doing it.
Guest Kaizer Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Kaizer can you please give us a profile of this player in terms of his physical attributes in comparison to you in your prime and also some states such as average distance covered per match. Thanks in advance,Ronnie Whelan. No I can not, Martinez has never registered on my radar, so I guess this means he is nothing more than average. We should look elsewhere.
The_Adder Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 No I can not, Martinez has never registered on my radar, so I guess this means he is nothing more than average. We should look elsewhere. Why the hell aren't you employed by the club?? You would think if we did have 'the best scouts in the world' someone would have picked you up by now

If this guy has not registered on the kaizerometer then he is obviously schite and any contract talks should be abandoned instantly.
Hassony Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Why the hell aren't you employed by the club?? You would think if we did have 'the best scouts in the world' someone would have picked you up by now why would a man with a PE degree settle for a job as a scout? Kaizer should be Pako's replacement
