Kompany has real potential - Carra's long term replacement most likely. But I'm sure I've read that he's injury prone, which wouldn't be a positive start.

Vincent Kompany is a very silky footballer and a great defender, fast with an ability to play his way out from the back. He has had several setbacks with injuries but from my memory they were to his shoulder and an achillies injury rather than re occuring muscle problems.

 

I think he would be a good signing.

He's had one bad major injury that kept him out most of last season, as opposed to being injury prone, I think. Supposedly done well this season.

He seems comfortable on the ball, so he could probably do a job at full back. I can't say with any certainty unfortunately. I've only seen him a limited number of times.
