the run of games has obviously got the cobwebs out his system, he's got better and better lately.

he's never had pace, but his reading of the game tonight was pure class.

Very good game tonight albeit against a very tootless team.

As you say, he's got better the last couple of games after some poor earlier ones.

Still be good to get Agger back - for the difference he makes to our attacking play above all else

quite - but carra hasn't been pulling up trees this season. perm any 2 from 3 at this rate.

Yeah i agree.

Think he'll improve when DA gets back though.

I thought his defending and reading off the game was spot on.

However, his passing was poor throughout the game.

Sami was on fire, and delivered a delicate lob into the front of their 16, but none of his teammates had any believe in his passing abilities, and didn't track the ball. It's a long time since Sami has been so actively participating in our offencive paly, and a good effort on that freekick!

I think his passing is under-rated. How many times do you see Carragher and Riise pass the ball along the back, only for Sammi to be given the responsibility of moving the ball forward ?

Sami's a Liverpool legend! It's never been his pace but his reading of the game that's been his thing.Thank Heaven we have him again this season!

Solid game today but he almost single-handedly cost us two points against Spurs and has looked very rusty indeed over the past number of weeks. This in no way, shape or form detracts from what he's given to the club over the past 8 seasons.

Carra was as much to blame against Spurs.

True. Finnan was involved in the first goal as well. But none of that would have mattered if Sami had won two headers against Berbatov from long punts upfield by Robinson.

That was the Sami of old. A few trademark crunching tackles.

Still think we need another centre back but Sami will still be very useful 3rd or 4th back up. More than f***in' useful if he can play to his old form

As much?

Sami lost two headers, this happens all the time, Carra lost his man and let him get a free passange on goal.

If anyone should be blamed its carra and finnan, not Hyypia.

So the fact that Hyypia didn't even CHALLENGE Berbatov for their first means he's free of blame then?

Anyways, we all know Kev is to blame.

DAMN YOU KEV!

Its the same as with Riise and the fact he allows midfielders to get crosses in, well we should defend crosses, what we would probably get a problem with is if Riise allows his man to go past him on the outside and cross from the line.

How often have we seen this?

He had a very good game. Perhaps i was too hasty in recommending him for the scrapyard, although i'll cheer when Agger returns.

Best game from Sami in a long time, he looked 2yds quicker today. Looking forward to Dagger coming back but no longer think it would be wise to offload Sami in January.

Riise and Carson to Villa, Heinze from Real Madrid would be a satisfying January's business assuming Kewell can stay fit that long and Yossi and Ryan maintain current form.
