Yes we're not playing great, today wasn;t all that pretty etc. Arbeloa should be playing, I wish Rafa would settle on a formation (even if not the players within it) for most games, yes Crouch should be playing more blah blah blah.

But Christ, the lack of respect shown on here towards the manager who won us the European Cup and got us to another final really is a disgrace. Everytime we fail to win this place gets worse. There's an increasing number of posts which read like the rants of spoilt children on here everytime we fail to win - just jumping up and down and crying that Rafa should go etc etc

It's November, we we're without 3 huge players for us and we're unbeaten. We have one of the five or six best managers in the world. People should at least show him a bit of respect - it's just possible he knows more than most of you (ok not you Kaizer with your coaching qualification).

Read the opening of the post. Clearly things aren't great. But neither are they that awful and there are some good reasons why we're not playing so well.

But this place is increasingly no better than 606 - which everyone on here used to think was a joke and an embarassment etc. I posted because I'd like this place to be more like it used to be.

The impatience, ingratitude shown to the manager on here is a disgrace.

A forum is a place were people view their beliefs, if we all agreed on things forums would be boring. What annoys me about forums are the high and mighty posters who think they are above everyone else and they are never wrong regardless. The ones who carp on about 'Not the Liverpool Way' etc.

I wish I could post more often but my work means less and less time on the internet, but I would much rather take my frustrations out on forums than anywhere else were a lot more serious consequences may happen. And let's be honest, do you honestly think that what is posted here or anywhere else will have an effect on the club ?

If a manager makes a terrible mess of his team selection, if the way the players approach the match suggests that they don't have any idea what they are supposed to do when they get the ball, I think it's not surprising that there will be criticism.

The high and mighty approach I see, good choice

i'm actually surprised there isnt more criticism. the whole thing at the minute is a mess

I had just presumed that all the people who had been at the match expending all their positive support for the club in person hadn't yet logged on to their legitimate catharsis forum.

A lot if not all of my friends who go the game are becoming frustrated and worried at the moment. No-one would dare question Rafa a few months ago, but now I think the pendulum has swung.

They should have their own forum where they can backslap each other and tell each other how so much better supporter they are and leave us alone to debate.

Its a far cry from the situation you are suggesting. Where's this disrespect you are talking about ?

Most people are saying decisions are wrong and they are leaving it at that. The majority aren't saying sack Rafa. I'm sure a lot of people realise that the rebuilding might be extensive under a new manager and that the last three years of squad building would be thrown back on the drawing board. I'm very reluctant to contemplate changing manager but what i'm seeing is deeply worrying. I can't shake the idea that something is not right in the dressing room, maybe Rafa has lost/is losing his players. The team spirit isn't there, nor is the basic understanding on the pitch. You get the impression that they have been in training for 2 months under a dark cloud. Rafa has clearly fallen out with Crouch, he fell out with his closest working partner of over a decade's work in Pako and his decision making has been erratic this season.

What we see on the pitch is a mess, its not going to turn round over night so I struggle to imagine a situation where we'll be closer to Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal by the turn of the year. We've got 3 league fixtures coming up on paper that should be wins. Can you say you are confident of winning them and staying within touching distance of the top ?

a lot of the people i sit beside at the game have been expressing doubts about him in the league for a while. i genuinely believe he is in danger of turning the fans against him.

Two of them refuse to sing his name now. They are adamant he's lost the plot.

I never implied anything close to that. My post was in reference to quite a good post from either David Hodgson or Molby the other day that explained that some people who go to the matches and sing their hearts out utilize this forum as an arena to voice honestly held opinions and, sometimes, fears.

There is another camp, of course, that never go to the matches and utilize this forum in a different manner.

Most of the former camp are presumably drowning their sorrows after making a day of the away trip. That's all.

now thats just petty. he'll always get my vocal support, as will all the players, no matter how s**** they are.

I'm not having a go at the manager - the players deserve as much stick I think.

But today was as grim a fare of footy as I've seen in many a moon.

I believe in Rafa & I believe in Liverpool FC - not to feels tantamount to cheating on my wife

Maybe it is maybe it isn't. But at the same time they are most vocal in their support of the team and players. We've spoken about this since they started it and they said that it would be hypocritical to sing the praises of a man they want out.

I would much rather they took this silent action than boo.

Are you saying that those who do not go to the matches do not have honestly held opinions and, sometimes, fears. Or because they do not attend games their opinion is less valid ?

And have the Mancs get closer to 18 - no thanks.

How will the decision on our manager now have any bearing on whether the Mancs win the title or not ?

I can't imagine any Liverpool fan who has watched the last 2 months thinking we can turn the form around quickly enough and look anything like champions.

changing the manager now isnt going to stop that.

working for Chelsea at the moment, same players different and dare I say it......better standard of football, more attacking, more adventurous. Mourinho like Rafa has the belief that possession is everything, pass and don't move it's the (new) Liverpool groove.
