Is that a good result, I am so disheartened at that performance it's really unbelievable 50 minutes till our first corner, 50....and that doesn't even begin to tell the story of what has been nothing short of disgraceful on behalf of the management and the players.

Why did Rafa play an out of form Riise instead of Arbeloa who has been consistent as a player can be at LB since the start of the season when played?

Why did Rafa play a 'Hard-Working' midfielder in Dirk Kuyt as a lone striker despite the fact that kuyt throughout all his time at Liverpool has never EVER been able to perform as a lone striker?

Why does Rafa continuously ignore Crouch, despite being the closest thing to striker and being the only one capable of creating chances for us? As shown when he came on

This is simply not good enough and only reaffirms my opinion that Rafa's stubbornness in his team selections are bringing us down, this was shown when Crouch came on although it didn't do anything we still played better.

Our play of football is also quite frankly a disgrace as well 40 minutes till our first shot?, never mind on target it's an absolute disgrace.

As I have said this just another example of what has gone wrong this season.

You can give it the old

'But we have not been beaten this season'

or

'Rafa will get it right our home form will come good'

Or

'X Player played well'

Or

'LOL YOU CAN'T SPELL'

The buck stops with Rafa this season and Rafa has not been good enough, Do I want him sacked? No I don't but the more draws we get the more disheartened I become...

Sort it out Rafa

Think it was a tough away game against one of the form teams in the PL, yes the performance wasnt great but the result was a decent one. Of course we'd like to be playing better football but Blackburn arent going to make it easy for anyone.

Its another good away result.

you know how bad things are when Kenny has nothing good to say. s**** again. i reckon we are out of the title race now. the difference in quality between us and the Mancs and Arsenal is wider now than it ever has been.

Yep - and Rafa has no excuses for that.

I'm not having that.

It would be a good result for Spurs or Newcastle. For a title-challenging side, a draw at a team like Blackburn is an average result when you play well, when you play like we did it's a bad result.

Kuyt, Riise, Babel, Hyppia, Sissoko are not good enough for a title challenging team. We are carrying too many players.

What has Crouch ever done to Rafa??

What the f*** has Sissoko done to impress Rafa so much? Cant believe he played the 90.

The result is not decent at all, we just dropped more points once more

Like the best team in the world ever Arsenal got a while back?

Blackburn 1-1 Arsenal

not many teams will get an easy game against Blackburn this season home or away, yes we didnt play well, but the point is a good one. I think we have to judge the teams performances when Agger, Alonso, Torres are back, these 3 are key to playing better.

Agreed.

It is often argued if it is up to the crowd to get the players going or up to the players to get the crowd going. Well today, the crowd did their part, but the players for the first 80 minutes just knocked the stuffing out of what sounded like fantastic support.

Once again, frustration was the order of the day. It's so predictable now. We knock the ball around nice & neat first 10 mins, square passes, back passes, every player (except gerrard) in a static position looking for the ball, we ride our luck defensively once or twice........we hope it's going to get better, but the frustration just continues.

To be honest I don't think there is a massive gulf between us and the Mancs/a*** in terms of players and how we can play. Rafa recently has gone ultra-negative probably because of the injury to Agger. As a consequence we are forced to sit deep because of Sami's lack of pace, but you look at the last 15 mins of today's game it shows we are capable of playing good football. Problem is we don't do it for the full 90 and that is wholly down to Rafa's cautious tactics for the first 75mins.

Anyone who has ambitions of winning the title would not go to Blackburn today play two defensive midfielders and sit on a 0-0 result for 75mins and then decide to "go for it". It is so frustrating because despite the injuries you know we've got a squad who are capable of going to places like this, playing well, being positive and getting a very good result.

I am not convinced we are out of the title race. I think we will improve.

But I do think Rafa is showing a "f*** you' attitude to everyone. How Kuyt gets a game for us I have no idea. Voronin has at least been 'rested' today, but Kuyt was - yet again - a willing donkey. A really really bad buy. No two ways. And Carra is going to give away another penalty very soon. He's become a liability, shouting at everyone else when he's playing badly, generally past it (catching up with Sammi).

The worst thing for me was that before the game I already knew how many goals we would score tonight unless we got a penalty. And like the lover who will not see that she's being unfaithful, I still went along to be humiliated.

If Arsenal played Blackburn away tomorrow, a draw would be a bad result.

Yes but what have Arsenal done since then?

It's all well and good saying that your competitors got the same result, but if your competitors are above you in the league and playing football of a quality of which you are no where near of then it isn't a good results.

As I have said for Liverpool FC a draw away to Blackburn at this stage of the season is not a good result, the mancs and a*** drew today a win would of made things a little better.

A Draw makes things bad

A Draw and an absolute piss poor performance to boot makes it even worse

I don't mind the result, Rovers are a decent side, but the performance was poxy. Given the number of points we've dropped recently, not playing two up front was s****. Our season is slowly slipping off the rails. We needed to be braver today.

It's too early to say that about Babel and Sissoko on his first seasons' form would be good enough, if he could ever get back to that level. The other three I make you spot on, I don't really want to start another 30 page thread about this but I think a Jan move for Owen would be just what the doctor ordered.*

I'm still optomistic for the season, but I feel we just need that spark to lift everyone whether it be a result or new player.

*sits back in expectation of 20 odd posts stating that "we don't want that selfish wa**er here, blah, blah,f****** blah".

I'm very disappointed. A couple of points...

I can understand Rafa' wanting to use Kuyt because he wants to play the game a certain way, but while Kuyt is playing so badly any tactical reason why he's there goes out the window.

Gerrard is not a supporting striker. He's been played there a few times now and I can only remember him once having a good game in that position.

Why the need for two defensive midfielders for the entire 92 and half minutes of the game?we weren't under pressur for most of the second half so why didn't one of them get subbed?

I thought Gerrard did ok there, when he managed to receive the ball. It's who he was supporting was more of the problem, i.m.o. Kuyt is not a lone striker, his first touch is so bad and as he has no pace, then anything knocked up to him when he is on his own is bound to end up with an opponent. At least if he has a proper strike partner, it slightly increases the chances of his bad first touch ending up with a red shirt.
