Blackburn are at home, are a very good team and on a good run of form.

Liverpool are patchy and have a few injuries.

Personally I think a draw would be a decent result - we have to avoid a defeat.

Also, I would like to see Kuyt and Voronin 'rested' and someone else given a chance to prove themselves.

After last season, a draw would do but if we really have aspirations for winning the league we should be beating them. I didn't think we'd win the league in the first place, I still don't but I'd like to see us have a little go at it, a draw away to Blackburn and no broken legs would be a good result for me.

if we want to settle for 3rd 4th again, then a draw will probably satisfy most people. if we are serious about putting together a title challenge, then we have to win. we have better players than they have. we should be winning this.

exactly right, last year we would have beaten them if crouch didn't miss a couple of easy chances, i am backing him to score this time

i have a feeling that this game will define our title challenge

Not even Robbie Savage?

I'd liek to see us come back with 3 points, a +3 goal difference, robbie savages' head on a platter, and Benny McCarthy's signature on a pre-contract agreement to join us in January.

It's not f***ing top trumps you know, lad.

no, its football, therefore teams with better players should win. bizarre that you thing otherwise, but thats up to you.

bit stupid coming on and saying, "we have better players, we'll be doing well to get a draw"

In isolation a draw would be a good result

As we are chasing we could obviously do with a win.

Especially as at least one team is going to drop points this weekend

how can a draw been seen as a good result? this line of thinking baffles me completely. Blackburn are missing a raft of players through injury, and havent got anywhere close to the squad quality we have in order to bring in quality replacements. anything less than 3 points tomorrow, i'll be very disappointed.

we need to be picking up the three points.. these are on a cracking run at the moment - if we can beat them and build on our last few results then maybe we'll start to get that early season belief back.. with one of the others dropping points it's also a chance to make up some ground and put a better look on the league table..

I don't 'thing' otherwise, no. And yes, it is football, which is why we won the European Cup in 05 despite Milan having "better players" than us and why Wimbledon beat us in 88 despite us having "better players" than them.

We should win but not because we've got better players but because we're a better team but then other things come into consideration, like we've been in s*** form and they've been in good form, we're missing some important players, so yeh, even though we have better players, a draw would be a decent result.

If you want to go on your thinking, Man United and Chelsea (and arguablly Arsenal) have got better players than us, so lets f*** the league off and settle for third or fourth, that's where we "should" finish.

An away point against one of the better sides in the league is a decent enough result, generally.

Five away points against five similar sides, less so.

Think we have a good chance of winning, the players and staff will obviously be going for the win.

But it wouldn't be the end of the world if we picked up a point.

As for the set-up, whatever works is the right set-up.

If this was say the first game of the season, i would say a draw would be a good result. It is one of the hardest games of the year. They have won their last 7 games you know. As we have dropped so many points at home, i think we need to win. And i will also be disappointed if we don't

Thats what i meant

Great opportunity to pick up points on title rivals, need to pick a positive team/formation and look to dominate.

No K & V upfront

I demand a win

will live with a draw

and will kick a cat hard up the a.rse if we lose

Agree with all of that. Blackburn are looking a good team right now although they have 2 CM players missing at the right time for us.
