Same as it was at the beginning of the season.

 

Challenging for the title beyond Xmas - hopefully into spring

Don't like committing at this stage, but aslong as we're not going to get the "that's not acceptable/net spend/ big club" bollix, then as things stand I'd say......

 

league - top 4 (aslong as we are still in it at Easter, and not just scratching in on thelast day ahead of everton)

CL - knockout stages (you never know who you might get, so to say unacceptable to go out last 16 would be odd)

fa cup / league cup - they are what they are, wouldn't judge anything as unacceptable other than a defeat to a schite team in the fa cup regardless of what side we put out, or defeat to a schite team with a 1st string team in the league cup.

The Scum and Chelski have years and years on us in terms of spending, we have spent decent money for one summer. If we so some excellent improvement we can build on it next year and start as one of the true favourites

 

I don't think this was ever gonna/meant to be the season were we walked away with the title, it would be one massive f***ing bonus mind!!!!

 

The way we started the season gave us true hope but our failings have been painfully clear to see in the last few months now and the 'other' three have or have started to hit form, its not impossible but its gonna take a mammoth effort for us to win it this season.

I can only speak for myself but i want us going into March/April as title challenges

This would represent progress for me

I also thinking we should be getting to the final of one of the cups

Top 3 finish and to be still in the hunt to win the title around March.

 

If we are in 4th place and 20 points away from the top by that time, I will start to question whether the club is moving forward.

 

Its only Oct/Nov now and we are still in the pot for everything, so lets wait and see how we perform at the end of season.

i think thats very realistic and spot on, and what i would expect this season.

I agree with that.

 

The most important thing is what the Yanks think is the minimum acceptable, I think if we are 12-15 points behind the Champions, Rafa will be in danger.

doesnt he? f***ing hell, thats a shocker.

 

I loved them, I keep an eye out of 7 foot 8 man with a fit bird on his arm and all I tend to see if peter crouch.

All i know is that his Myspace is now private so i can't get on his site unless i become his friend

And as much as i want to read his blog, i am not prepared to put in a friend request and risk being knocked back by L4LAD!!

I think he stopped before then anyway!
