lawrie Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Didn't matter in the end, but that was some f****** header Stevie lad. Once again he was the only one who ever really looked likely to score
Guest Banjo Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Too much passion - he should have been subbed.
Nebraska Red Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 good goal. too little, too late. as captain he should be doing something on the pitch to get this bunch of lazy, useless bums showing some pride, passion and urgency in their game. he should have been in the faces of the defenders telling them to get sorted and he should have been calling out his fellow midfielders and forwards for a general lack of effort.

Yes, and would have been subbed for his efforts. Passion is a bad bad thing.

Passion is a bad bad thing. his passion is great and his own game improves when he gets it going. but as captain he shud be able to get more out of the players around him as well as himself. get in their faces, remind them who they are playing for.

I venture to say that just about every goal we have conceded this season with Mascherano on the pitch has been a fluke goal (Robinson clearances, own goals). Mascherano does not need ANYONE calling him out for a lack of effort.
