Guest prophet Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 This is a toughie cos we have no pace up front and at the back. My crystal ball says 4-2-3-1. Surprise me pls Rafa! Arsess strength is their pace. Rafa will try to NOT lose rather than go for a win IMO. He will try to strangle the middle of the park with Momo/Masch combi for much of the match and try to fast break with Stevie when the opportunity arises. Without Torres theres just no teeth([pace ) to worry Arsses that much. Crouchs on his way so i doubt he will start. A draw looks likely......hopefully we will steal it 1-0
floyd the barber Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 have a feeling we will try and really dominate the midfield and flood them with sissoko, gerrard and masch.. ----------------------reina-------------------finnan------carra---------hyypia----arbeloa-------------------masch-----------------------gerrard--------sissoko-----------benyoun----------------------kuyt-----------------------------------------torres------------------- if torres isnt fit, then we might see crouch starting....this possibly depends on his performance tonight (i reckon he`ll start)
Guest prophet Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 i dont think he will risk Torres if hes half fit. Crouchs on his way. i beleive the team will be similar to the one vs the Tofs.BUT the approach will be different. Momo will sit deeper rather than venturing up. Arssess midflers are much much pacier and verssatile than the Tofs. The only way is to get our boots into their faces(not literally)
Rimbeux Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 If we sit back against them we'll get murdered. You have to push these back and put some distance between their midfield and forwards, which means playing a fair bit of football and pressing really high up the pitch, cos if we dont they will do to us and will score more than one. Everything crossed for Torres, we'll really need his class

Guest prophet Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 and keep the ball and make them defend Unfortunately keeping ball is not Momo and macshs stri=ong points! In fact not Pools strrngth...
growler Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Personally, would go for Gerrard, lucas, masch, alonso and Babel in a 5, with Gerrard and babel pushing up to support Torres.
floyd the barber Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 trouble is, if agger isnt fit..which it seems is likely....we have to sit deep to compensate for next to no pace at the back....if we go in playing a high line...arsenal will murder us with their pace.
John am Rhein Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 How will Rafa approach Sundays game? Perros de la guerra
John am Rhein Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 The only way is to get our boots into their faces(not literally) Disagree with 'not literally'
_00_deathscar Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Aye a sneaky stamp on Fabregas' face would most certainly be welcome. The midget c***.
John am Rhein Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Our game plan should be to slit their gizzards and consign the parts most private to a rutland tree. - with width and creativity, that should placate the PC brigade
_00_deathscar Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 We're capable of the first. Not so sure about this width and creativity nonsense though...
Stevie H Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 just win the battles. these are well beatable, nobody's even had a proper go at them yet.
Woodsyla Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 we need to kick f*** out of them Aye, in the post match interview I want to hear Wenger whinging about Liverpool's over-physical approach and how his side just want to play football.
Mike S Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 we destroyed them in midfield last season with alonso and mascherano, and gerrard pushed further forward to support crouch. I could see us lining up the same way (except for the crouch part).
fred milne Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 and keep the ball and make them defendAgree with that. Its a game for our best keep ball XI. Alonso and Mascherano in midfield, with the latter keeping tabs on Fabregas.
fred milne Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 i dont think he will risk Torres if hes half fit.I reckon he will - just as he did Gerrard against Chelsea.
fred milne Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 we need to kick f*** out of themWe certainly need put a few tackles in. Something Slavia Prague didn't do last night.
John am Rhein Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 we need to kick f*** out of them Reckon we'll be able to get agent Clattenburg assigned as referee?
John am Rhein Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Aye, in the post match interview I want to hear Wenger whinging about Liverpool's over-physical approach and how his side just want to play football. Yep. We are the new Bolton. And Benitez should be telling the press how he took Gerrard off because he was playing with his head not his heart.
Spike Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Have a man tight on Adebayor and then kick the f***ers off the park.
Hassony Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Aye, in the post match interview I want to hear Wenger whinging about Liverpool's over-physical approach and how his side just want to play football.hopefully that will be the case as it will show the other teams that you can kick arsenal out of the game
