Guest Snorky Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Torres or Agger did not travel to Turkey. Arbeloa, Kewell and Aurelio still injured as well.
honourablegeorge Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 No Torres, and no Arbeloa. http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0500liv...-name_page.html
Bailo Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 (edited) Didn't Dean Saunders have a spell out at Besiktas as well? No, Galatasaray. Edited October 23, 2007 by DarkBailo

cymrococh Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 (edited) Can you guess who the double agent is without clicking ?Tosh the Bosh, innit. I hope Rafa doesn't risk Gerrard for this one. Edited October 23, 2007 by Paul Caruso
Bailo Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 under souness, along with venison and friedel wasn't it?Yup. Christ, they're gonna want to tonk us for that alone.
fred milne Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Time to put that substitution behind us and start looking forward? I don't know. Anyway, here's my team for tomorrow: ReinaFinnan Carragher Hyypia RiiseGerrard Alonso Mascherano BenayounCrouch Kuyt Subs: Itandje, Hobbs, Sissoko, Lucas, Pennant, Babel, Voronin.
Flasher Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 (edited) I think Babel will play instead of Yossi. Otherwise agree. He may put Gerrard in goal though, to publicly humiliate him in front of another big tv audience. Especially if the Besiktas fans single him out for abuse. Edited October 23, 2007 by Flasher
Bailo Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Reina Finna---Carra----Hobbs----Riise ----------Mascherano--------- ------Alonso-------Lucas----- ------------Yossi--------------- ----Crouch-----------Babel--- just for the hell of it!

We need to get our most reliable team out there.

Florist Cinema Pond Goal Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 (edited) The defence picks itself, whilst Rafa seemingly appreciates the protective qualities of Masch on our CL excursions; Barca in Feb his only absence and this at a time he was being bedded in. It then becomes a case of who partners him. If Alonso is fit it's logical to see him start in a game we need to dictate. If Gerrard starts therefore it will may possibly be right midfield. Personally I'd like to see Crouch and Pennant start and with Besiktas possibly going with 4-3-3 as they did at home to Porto, playing Kuyt behind Crouch would enable us to thicken midfield if needed. Guest sniffer Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Arbeloa and Riise on the left, Crouch and Torres up front. If Torres fails a fitness test, it will be Kuyt.

Yes, I've just read that Arbeloa is injured. Looks like Riise at left back and perm any one of three to play in front of him. Wouldn't put it past Rafa to spring a surprise - like starting with Lucas in midfield!

redjersey Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Arbeloa = injuredWhich leaves Carra and Sami with no experienced cover. Jack Hobbs will have to step up if either of them goes down.
Nebraska Red Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Which leaves Carra and Sami with no experienced cover. Jack Hobbs will have to step up if either of them goes down. no chance, Rafa will put Gerrard at CB unless he's already in goal.
Guest Kaizer Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 As long as Alonso will be playing I have no worries, I just cant wait for this one.
Guest Snorky Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Serious question. If we lose, is it off ?
CaptainXabi Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Serious question. If we lose, is it off ?Yeah, unless Marseille and Porto finish off their two matches at 7 points a piece. Then it's marginally on.
