What did Stevie say to the Ref ?

A lip reader in the Lower Bullens reckons Stevie asked him not to send Hibbert off, and this was from an Everton fan.......allegedly.. :hmm:

What is clear is that no-one really knows, so the claim that he influenced the ref is just baseless speculation. Poor punditry from Hansen with his "If he took the Yellow Card out, that was his decision, and he should have stuck with it" (even if it was wrong) cr*p.

Remember seeing one view and you can clearly see him say something along the lines of 'I would have scored' also ran 30 - 40 yrds and called him a 's***house' when he didnt give him a free kick earlier in the game.

I can't believe how much stick he's getting for it from the media. He held his hands out in a "WHAT?!!!!" style and perhaps, at worst, reminded the ref that the defender was the last man. Politely.

Imagine a John Terry or Roy Keane in the same situation; veins pumping as they thrust their heads to within millimetres of the ref's head.

Too much heckling of refs goes on in football and must be clamped down with a least a yellow card. But this was nothing like it.

Clattenburg isn't a muppet. He knew what he was doing, he gave the pen, walked away....he had loads of time to sum up the situ.

I don't for a second believe that Gerrard influenced the red card. And if he did, it was the only decision that could be correctly made. So, so fecking what

I don't see what everyones problem is, he was quite clealy the last man. Commentator saying that Hibbert was unlucky, f**k off. Last man no other decision. Whether or not it was penalty was another thing. I thought the foul might have started outside the box.

I thought he was complaining about Howard kicking the ball too!

Yeah, he seemed to look back at Howard and then said something to the ref.

he has to take the yellow out to mark the sending off down...the team lists are on it

Didn't see him mark anything down, just took the card out then put it away.

Gerrard did exactly the right thing by reminding the ref that he was through and taken out by the last man and the ref made the right decision to send hibbert off. The rest is media hype. Its incredible that you get an incident packed game like that and the media still try and spin a little bit more controversy out of it.

Referee should have known that and sent him off at the first whistle.

Bitters on Bluekipper wanted him sent off at the first whistle, they hate Hibbert.

Thought they was sayin he should be Englands RB a season or two back?

And guess what, Clattenburg has not been suspended next week.

He has a UEFA Cup tie Locomotive Moscow v Athletico Madrid on Thursday night, any Prem refs reffing in Europe on a Thursday in the UEFA Cup automatically get the weekend off.
