So Cal Red Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1779 if he leaves, we should use the money for a quality left winger or an attacking player/ball-carrier. Lucas looks ready to fight for a spot in the first team.
MFletcher Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 His form has been brutal this season. I'd take £8M. Lucas is more than capable of making the step up. His cameo today was very, very impressive. Good at what he does, but we need players who are better at ball retention.
Herbie von Smalls Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 can't say i can recall the mail ever getting anything right when it comes to LFC gossip.
DazzlaJ Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 can't say i can recall the mail ever getting anything right when it comes to LFC gossip. Well they called Murph a nazi! Spot on I thought
Guest Kaizer Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Not the best of sources, but I would not mind if we could use the money to bring in a top quality winger, if we sell Crouch and Momo I guess we can shop from the highest shelf.
Frosty Jack Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 okay, it's going to have to be..... Xabi Alonso, Lucas Leivinho, Gerrard and Mascherano.
Guest Kaizer Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 okay, it's going to have to be..... Xabi Alonso, Lucas Leivinho, Gerrard and Mascherano. What about Xabi Alonso, Lucas, Riquelme, Gerrard and Mascheranooo.
CarraLegend Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Every Sunday the Mail have something about someone wanting one of our players or one of the players wanting out. Barca want Masch, Crouch wants out, Momo wants out. Cant wait for next Sundays rumour, its so exciting.
Frosty Jack Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 What about Xabi Alonso, Lucas, Riquelme, Gerrard and Mascheranooo. Yeah Gary Speed doesn't fit in anywhere
San Diego Red Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 To be honest, except for the shot he had, he wasn't bad AT ALL.
DazzlaJ Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 To be honest, except for the shot he had, he wasn't bad AT ALL. Apart from giving the ball away on numerous occasions
mooks Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 To be honest, except for the shot he had, he wasn't bad AT ALL.I'm a huge Momo fan but I thought he was the weak link today with his passing. He covers lots of ground but ... Like everyone else when I saw Lucas coming on I assumed it was for Momo. Unlike everyone else I thought it was a brave decision by Rafa made for the good of the team. Rather than slag him off I try to understand why he makes the decisions he does.
DazzlaJ Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Rather than slag him off I try to understand why he makes the decisions he does. I don't slag him off, but I was still bemused
Conor Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I might believe this story if Momo was in Crouchys shoes. Momo has got more game time than I expected to be honest.
Owen1978 Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Sell Crouch, Momo & JAR in Jan In: Diego and ???
D.Boon Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 As i said in another thread. Sissoko is becoming a midfield version of Traore a great athlete but a poor footballer. Frankly id be delighted with £4 million for him.
Dan Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 We should have sold him in the summer when he was worth more. At this rate we'll be lucky to get £8M.
Ben 23 Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 We should have sold him in the summer when he was worth more. I agree. When Juventus were interested as well, hopefully they haven't seen him lately.
surf Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 As i said in another thread. Sissoko is becoming a midfield version of Traore a great athlete but a poor footballer. Frankly id be delighted with £4 million for him. Was thinking that myself. I'll be very happy if i don't see Sissoko in another league game until he learns how to pass the ball to a teammate. Masch, Alonso, Gerrard or Lucas in the middle, Gerrard or Pennant on the right. That's 5 players for three positions, i don't see the problem.
fred milne Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Unlike everyone else I thought it was a brave decision by Rafa made for the good of the team. Rather than slag him off I try to understand why he makes the decisions he does.Inaccurate and smug.
Sion Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I don't think it's Sissoko's decision whether he stays or not, with his current form i'd be delighted with £8m, and methinks so would Rafa.
Rimbeux Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 can't say i can recall the mail ever getting anything right when it comes to LFC gossip. Gerrard to Chelsea I?
Rory Fitzgerald Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I dont think one of Sissoko or Mascherano will be with us next season given the presence of Stevie, Xabi and the investment in young Lucas Leiva
_00_deathscar Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Don't forget Lucas Leto, as one poster on RAWK would have you believe.
surf Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I dont think one of Sissoko or Mascherano will be with us next season given the presence of Stevie, Xabi and the investment in young Lucas Leiva Not a hard choice to make.
