miceal Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I know I will be howled down for saying it, but he's been making the wrong decision regularly this season. Wrestling with McFadden when WE had the ball, gave them a free kick while we were chasing three points. Then, wrestling again, three yards out with ten seconds left. It was a dead-on penalty. We got really lucky today and Carra is in danger of becoming more of a hindrance than a help. Too inconsistent this season and not using his head.
floyd the barber Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 errrrrrrrrrrrr we just won the derby, lets revisit this thread in a few days and just celebrate for now!!!!

_00_deathscar Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Can't disagree with that, but for now let's just get pissed!
alias75 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Hasnt looked the same player this season, making silly mistakes, today i just think he got caught up in the passion of it all. i think long term we should be looking for someone to play alongside Agger with carragher taking Hyppia's role, of course theres still plenty of life in him yet and you can't coach the type of commitment he brings even when he isnt playing well that will always be there.
HK Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Too inconsistent this season and not using his head.I blame it on his burning desire to play for England...
Foo Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I blame it on him always being injured and not playing regularly. Not.
Cooldude Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 He's not playing well now but he'll be fine, he'll come good We're still unbeaten, that's all that counts
Benzo-13 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I think this was the game that's awakened him this season..
Guest Bear Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Carra always starts the season slow... He'll get better and better as the year goes on. Getting Agger back will be a massive boost as well. Love Sami to bits but he's simply not up to this level anymore.
stressederic Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 He's still a top man and player, but I wish he wouldn't scream at the refs repeatedly like that. Especially considering the stick we give Pennant for doing it at times.

Especially considering the stick we give Pennant for doing it at times. How about Gerrard talking Clattenburg into giving Hibbert the red card? It was ridiculous really, as Clattenburg already had the yellow in his hand and swiftly put it back into his pocket after hearing what Stevie had to say. And wasn't Rafa speaking against this (players inluencing the referees' decisions) a few weeks back as well. I've no problems with this, mind.

Nah it's rugby rules, only the Captain is allowed to approach the ref...
Kite Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Didn't see too much wrong with his performance today and he's the only one of our players willing to get into refs faces. Looked like he gave away a penalty at the end but hard to be completely sure and it would most likely have been a goal had Lescott turned on the ball
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Lescott caused us problems all day. Sure looked like a pen at the end, but it wasn't given so it wasn't a pen - maybe Lescott pushed back into Carra to make it look like a foul? I thought he could have had one earlier too
Ginu Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Carra's definitely been off pace this season. I hope for our sake he's not fully fit ATM.

I'm sure all out bluenose friends will agree with that.

Hoff Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Carra just really, really, really, really wanted to win today - more so than anyone else in the whole ground. I thought he was gonna take the 2nd pen, he got the ball from Clattenburg - but then gave it to Kuyt. Carra's reaction at the end was brilliant!
