dorgie Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 This is the 5th season in a row that the Goodison derby was played before the Anfield derby. Anyone know why that is ? Not suggesting anything sinister either way in this, but just seems a bit unusual.

honourablegeorge Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Jesus, I hope we win this. The sheer amount of f***wittedness that'll ensue from our own fans if we lose will be hard to take.

cymrococh Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Get in Carra. For a home-grown player like Carra the derby is always a massive game on the fixture calendar. "I loving playing in them," he revealed. "I'd play in them every week if I could. They are massive games. Especially after last season at Goodison Park, we are desperate to get the right result. "And especially for myself," he added with typical honesty. "I was very poor last season and it's something that's been on my mind for a while."
fred milne Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 (edited) This is the first derby since the "small club" comment and the Kirkby stadium announcement. I reckon the atmosphere is going to be even tastier than usual. Edited October 19, 2007 by fred milne

fred milne Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 i've got a feeling there will be one or two Kirkby references tomorrow No doubt we'll get to hear "the baby's not your's" again. It seemed to affect him last time.
IcelandicFan Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Explain to us OOT-ers what this Kirkby stadium announcement is...

R A Softlad Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Explain to us OOT-ers what this Kirkby stadium announcement is... Tesco have announced a supermarket and 50 seater stadium complex that Everton will play at. Everton will change in the staff room (with tea, biscuits and a stale BLT) and away teams will change in the meat freezer.
smicer07 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Rumours that Torres has failed a medical and will play no part.
Sion Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 I've gonfa ReinaFinnanCarraSamiArbeloaPennantGerrardMaschBabelCrouchVoronin Picked Babel rather than Riise to try and make up for Torres' probable absence and inject some pace into the side.
