Female voaclists, why?

Female vocalists?

 

Whats it all about?

 

I dont think I can mention 10 female vocalists that I really enjoy, maybe not even 5.

 

The ones I apprecciate is Skin, Eva Cassidy, Tracy Chapman, Enya and maybe Sinead O`Conner, the rest is mostly crap.

 

Looking through my album collection and my MP3 collection I have to say they are few and far between, so my question is.

 

Is it only me, or is this a general feeling out there.

 

I started to think about this when I listened to Sahara Hotnights earlier, because the vocalist had a kind of cool voice in the beginning, but she fell through after the song had lasted a while.

 

So anyone else?
