PortlandRed Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 When I first started going to concerts, sporting events, etc; you couldn't buy tickets on the internet. You had to go up to the ticket office, or to an authorized seller (usually at a larger chain of stores). That's the way it was done in America. I'm assuming that there was a similar process in the UK, or wherever you're from. Nowadays, ticket brokers are buying up all the tickets online and selling them on their websites for ridiculous prices. The reason I'm posting this is because I'm trying to get concert tickets for an event in December. The tickets go on sale tomorrow but it appears that via internet pre-sales, a lot of them have already been bought. A $50-60 floor ticket is going for $530 on the last site I looked at, and this is not the first time I haven't been able to go to a show because of this. I don't know what the solution to the problem is, but something needs to be done or there will be a lot of half empty events in the near future. Ever happened to you??
