Guest prophet Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 (edited) It happened when Monsiur Brugues(Something like) went during Hou's reign, Pool went into a slump after great season. Now its happened again. Pako leaves and we go into a small slump at mo.Hope i am wrong bit maybe rafas biting more than he can chew by not having a No. 2? Thoughts? mooks Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 "Its happened again" You really are a prophet
Ethan Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Two away games, two draws. Slump me a***. Agreed. I do hope we batter fat head's Brum on saturday and get back to winning form.
Rimbeux Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 (edited) Lad they've hardly been there since he's been gone, nowt to do with it, more like momentum stalling a bit. In my experience of senior people leaving jobs, the real affect is on who didn't like them or who was looking for their job, you'll see a bit of a better mood about them and some beauty parade going on for the big boss, but a new dynamic will quickly fall into place. Longer term there might be an effect in the way Rafa works, if he feels he needs to change any to compensate or if others fill the space. Edited September 20, 2007 by Rimbeux
Cam Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I think it's the beard. More seriously, has Rafa gone all control freak a la Ged? Changing the training, believing he can cope without Pako.... and the beard.
Cam Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 The one that started with only scoring 6 past Derby.
_00_deathscar Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 The one that started with only scoring 6 past Derby. Livid as a cut snake I was after that game...
Siang Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 seriously, did u all think we would snatch a win at Portsmouth? with our track record of noon kick-off which is bordering on atrocious!! the line up put out last Saturday was to grind it out... i personally didn't think we could get all 3 pts thus was satisfied with 1 point rather than nothing at all especially after the way Portsmouth was holding a slight upper hand like i said, just my 2 sen worth..
Nebraska Red Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 It happened when Monsiur Brugues(Something like) went during Hou's reign, Pool went into a slump after great season. Now its happened again. Pako leaves and we go into a small slump at mo.Hope i am wrong bit maybe rafas biting more than he can chew by not having a No. 2? Thoughts? Thoughts? I think you've been smoking something that has addled your brain. Slump? a draw at Portsmouth and a draw away to a team that is red hot at the moment is nothing like a slump. Another idiotic drama queen posting utter rubbish just for the sake of it.
John am Rhein Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Now its happened again. Pako leaves and we go into a small slump at mo. Small slump. We're undefeated, FFS!
Jon Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 more of a coincidence that someone left stamford bridge as soon as our no. 2 position became vacant well it's more plausible than the assumption that we're in a slump
Guest Snorky Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Yeh, we're on a slippery slope to the Championship and all we'll have to look forward to is are matches against Leeds United and Tranmere Rovers. FFS I thought I was the only doom merchant on here ?
wacko Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Livid as a cut snake I was after that game...As was I. They were there for the taking
M4TTA Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 were f***ed, clearly... Parry better get hold of Maureen before all else fails and we end up playing leeds again...
Stevie H Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 2 games = not a slump. we're still unbeaten ffs.
Stevie H Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 we're leaning on the trolley though, and us having put a quid in it and still being in the fruit and veg department can't be good.
fyds Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Yeh, we're on a slippery slope to the Championship and all we'll have to look forward to is are matches against Leeds United and Tranmere Rovers. FFS I thought I was the only doom merchant on here ?You're rapidly turning into Optimisitic Super fan In Chief compared to some - this is where Kaizer comes on and tells us all that statistically this could not be true etc. Yeah - it's a slump...Damn all those goals conceded in open play after 8 games and the mere 17 goals scored so far as opposed to three pens scored against, at least one of which was an act of criminal refereeing and diving..
Maldini Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Pako leaving is our wonky wheel, Rafa will just have to figure out a way of pushing the team around at an angle without hitting the shelves
fyds Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 They just dance to a different tune in their training regime now. YMCA, I think...
Stevie H Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Pako leaving is our wonky wheel, Rafa will just have to figure out a way of pushing the team around at an angle without hitting the shelvesit's always awkward when you've got the bairns in there though, and part of your brain is telling you to just f*** off with a wire trolley you've just paid a quid for. existential.
Guest prophet Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Before all of me Pool brethren get their tights in more twists......i did say, if you would note carefully "Now its happened again. Pako leaves and we go into a small slump at mo.Hope i am wrong bit maybe rafas biting more than he can chew by not having a No. 2?" AND the main pointe really is "maybe rafas biting more than he can chew by not having a No. 2" !!! There you go, can rafa manage without a no,2? Is the No. 2 that important? Thoughts?
