Guest Snorky Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 He's actually only lost 2 more than he's won.
_00_deathscar Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 That's a pretty appalling record to be fair.
Berger Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Facts are more a barometer than statistics though.
Guest Snorky Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 That's a pretty appalling record to be fair. But the way they go on about it, it gives the impression it's a lot more.
JohnnyH Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 But the way they go on about it, it gives the impression it's a lot more. But just the fact he has is a terrible record for a manager looking to challenge for a title. And glaringly obvious mistakes with team selection like today wont help. Playing crouch against a team that like the ball in the air at them??? What the f***??
Nebraska Red Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 and they always will. for some reason, these idiots are always happy to laud up any negative facts about us, yet fail to do so when a game involves the Mancs or Chavs.
JohnnyH Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 and they always will. for some reason, these idiots are always happy to laud up any negative facts about us, yet fail to do so when a game involves the Mancs or Chavs. Maybe because those 2 teams have won the last 3 titles and don't have stupid records like that against their names??
baja the hut Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 But the way they go on about it, it gives the impression it's a lot more. To be fair, the commentators are arrogant know-it-all t***s who don't really try to give you a neutral perspective of the match but do their own unique brand of nepotism on the airwaves....to be honest therefore I don't give a flying f***....
Alonso Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 The thing that really annoyed me was post match when Keys was talking to Clemance and said "Gerrard has convinced the England manager not to play him on he right, what does he have to do at Liverpool?" What a t**t. Also "These are the games that Liverpool should be winning if we are gonna win the league." Well Utd didn't win here does that mean they won't win the league either and what if Arsenal and Chelsea don't win there? Idiots.
Sion Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Every free-kick we got today was 'soft' or 'lucky', even when Sissoko had been chopped down. Whilst when Portsmouth got soft decisions like their pen (if that's a pen now then every PL game will have 3/4) he either said it was fair, or just said nothing.
Guest ziggystardust Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 But the way they go on about it, it gives the impression it's a lot more. just stick to talking oevr the tannoy gimp or letting your fat mate worry about our sub keeper not putting enough effort in the warm up shooting practice.

Guest Kaizer Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 To be honest it is an awful record, at least we should expect it to be more wins than draws and losses togehter for a club of our stature.

Our Premiership record away from home is: Won 106 - Drew 79 - Lost 109 - GF 385 - GA 352. Can't just lay any blame on Rafa.

No I know, but those numbers are one of the main reasons we have not won the title since 1990, it should be better, especially considering our home record during the same time, its the same teams we are playing home and away and we should be the better team in most games.

I'll be darned. I would never have thought of that.
Guest Kaizer Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Well off course, but there is no real reason ability wise why a team shoud be so much better at home than away from home.
Sion Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Kaizer, make yourself useful! or anyone else for that matter. Andy Gray had another little sly dig at our zonal marking today, does anyone have stats on how many goals we've conceeded indirectly from set pieces in the past 2 years compared to other teams? I'd guess we're around the bottom if not bottom. Commentators/pundits not understanding things gets on my t***.

Maldini Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 We've conceded the least amount of goals from set pieces in each of the last two seasons
trowie Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 We've conceded the least amount of goals from set pieces in each of the last two seasonsInteresting that England were zonal marking against corners the other night and not one commentator noticed or mentioned it
Maldini Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 It's just another stick to beat us with, nearly all the top teams have been playing zonal marking of one form or another for ages.

The best reply for this type of nonsense is to win the league. When that happens, they will sit up and shut up. Mean while, we have to grit our teeth.
