London Marathon 2009

I've been thinking while pounding the streets this morning that something should be arranged to raise awareness. I'm sure this anniversary won't be overlooked by the HJC.

 

My idea is to get 96 (more isn't a problem) runners to do the marathon. Dressed in Liverpool kits, with various messages on the back - friend/family members name & age, Hillsborough 20 Years, Justice 96 etc would almost certainly get press & TV coverage. Add to that the numbers of families, friends down to watch, it could turn into a powerful message.

 

Obviously get the runners sponsored. The shirts could be signed by players & auctioned/raffled after - having been washed preferably.

 

Don't want to tread on the toes of anyone at he HJC, but does anyone think it's a decent idea?
