Red Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 It's a very beautiful thang indeed.. even more so now we stay there for at least two weeks.
ManOfSteel Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 It's quite beautiful. I think the magnitude of it's beauty will be significantly increased if we can keep it up for the rest of the season.
mercury Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 haha, beat me to it! Beautiful, isn't it? What's more, we beat the Mancs and Gooners (and actually everyone else ) on goal difference, and all three of Gooners are home wins. Shame we have two weeks of international now, notwithstanding Carra's injury.
Guest Sabre Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Should be 12 points. Then I think it would be sublime.
spacemonkey Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Arsenal have an easy start. Suspect they'll fall away in December if not before, looking at their fixtures.
Behind Enemy Lines Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 yes it is nice - but the table on Monday 12th May is the significant one.Let's not get too carried away - remember Man City where top two weeks ago.
JohnnyH Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Lets just get to 42 points first, and then we'll start looking up.
Walrus Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 "How beautiful is this not?" Is that meant to say that it's ugly
crisps Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 ...and scored 8 more than the mancs with a game in hand
Senrab_nhoj Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Should be 12 points. Then I think it would be sublime. I actually think (and don't shoot me in May if we are in second place by one point) that the draw we had against Chelsea may have done yourselfs a favour... The less hype around the team by those outside the holy trinity of manager/players/fans the better as far as I am concerned. The more they talk about others allows us to get on with our business quietly and consistently. A start of 12 from 12 and beating Chelsea may have impinged upon this...

Gomez Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 We laughed at the blues**** for doing this after one game, doing it after 4 is not that much better.
yuriska Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 We laughed at the blues**** for doing this after one game, doing it after 4 is not that much better. I beg to disagree. It's 4 times better.
Guest Johnie82 Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 (edited) Sorry but this is so Newcastle/Everton-esque doing it after 4 games. Edited September 3, 2007 by Johnie82
PhilM Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 And also, we've only conceded two goals and they were both pennos. Well, really only one of them was, but that's water under the bridge now.
Bo Benn Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 (edited) It's a very beautiful thang indeed.. even more so now we stay there for at least two weeks. I can almost guarantee you we will stay there for nearly two weeks Edited September 3, 2007 by obey Hysén
growler Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 we are four games in! don't gloat about the table. most of us laughed at everton when they gloated after 2 games and man city after 3, so stop it. wait until at least 12-15 games.
David Hodgson Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Ah, but had we not been robbed in the Chelsea game, and beaten West Ham in our game in hand we'd now be 5 points clear at the top. That kinda lead would easily see us stay top as we get towards the 10 game mark. So you see.....
amokop Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Also we are not everton or citeh, we have a far stronger squad to continue our good start where as the other two were always going to be more flash in the pans.... Rafa and the whole of the squad all wanted to 'hit the ground running' and it was the most overused phrase in the build up to our season... that is the case with the first 4 games out of the way we have indeed had a good solid start... i don't think anyone on here is gloating or under any illusions that we are going to win the league, i think we are just happy to still be in with a shout after August!!!!

Everyone knew Everton would fall back - City too...no such guarantee applies to us.
