According to the Danish newspaper BT, Agger has bought two restaurants in Liverpool. The article doesn't say which restaurants and where in Liverpool, only states that it's a Mexican and an Italian restaurant in a long street where there are lots of other bars and restaurants. Agger owns the Centerpub in Hvidovre in Denmark already, so this will be number 2 and 3.

Anyone know the restaurants?

Casa Italia is one that springs to mind and another one Off Dale Street

could be the new restaurants on Duke Street.

Makes sense, as that whole area is under heavy development (and no doubt investment/speculation), and the Italian and Mexican are next to each other. Also the Japanese one next door is a real haunt for the players as well - I've seen Zenden, Reina and Alonso there in the past.

Mind you, the Casa Bella on the corner of Stanley Street is privately owned (i.e. not a hain/franchise), and from what we hear, the location may appeal to Danny boy....

Casa Bella used to be boss but has gone downhill recently.

Picollinos is the best Italian in town now.

Don't disagree at all about Picolino's quality, but it should be, as it's notably more expensive. I saw Aurelio in there a couple of weeks ago with a hispanic-young-footballer-looking pal who I have yet to identify as one of our many such-like newbies - not Insua, Lucas, Leto or Paletta for sure.

The Olive Press on Castle Street is pretty good as well, btw

Carragher owns a few that his uncle bought for him. His uncle managers them as well

One in Crosby that i can't remember the name of (cafe round the corner from the town centre)

and the place in town that used to be called Patricks (for Pat carragher) but is now called Foundation (and very much a gay bar)

Carra loves the pink pound!!

Also used to have a restaurant in town that closed, can't remember what it was called

que pasa cantina? oh dear :(

the italian must be moranto's if they are on the same street.

Would be suprised if they sold that

Steven Maranto owns the tapas place over the road as well by the way

They wanted to build a walkway over the road between the two but the council were having none of it

The one in Crosby is called Patrick's as well, and would have to be funded by someone wealthy, as there is never anyone in.

yeah esteban. If you know the owner tell him the last time I went there I had a raw fish kebab so haven;t been for a while. Can't think of any other italians on the lane though unless they are saving Viva is an italian. That would make a bit mroe sense as its next door to Que Pasa.

Carra/His Uncle/Brother was supposd to be getting involved in converting the old ABC Cinema on Lime Street (next to Wetherspoon's) into a Bar/Club complex, but it fell through.

Pity, it's a fantastic Art Deco building in a prime location, but currently a High Profile Grot Spot - it deserves the full makeover. It would also mean the Great Man would,if possible, go even further up in my estimation - Playing Legend, Future Liverpool Manager, Freeman of Sefton, Scourge of TalkSport ShockJock W*nkers..AND civic-minded entrepeneur/philanthropist bringing pride to our City Centre. Gotta Love Him.

All i know is that Pat left his civil service job and suddenly opened 3 bars/restaurants

Everyone just presumed the money had therfore come from Jamie
