ynwa.tv Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Down Memory Lane Meet the Referee Double Agents
Ronnie Whelan Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Second league game of the season, but this is Massive.
McBain Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I'd take a win at this stage They've looked sloppy at the back. Exploit this.
Hassony Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I think both teams will be happy with a draw taking into consideration utd's start to the season
Redkop Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I'd be more confident if it wasn't Rob Styles refereeing...
Bailo Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 (edited) I'd take a win at this stageI've had a think about this and all things considered, if I was offered it now, I'd take us to give a thorough thrashing to the Rent Boys. *waits to be crucified* Edited August 17, 2007 by SuperDunce
Stevie H Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I'd be more confident if it wasn't Rob Styles refereeing...which referee would make you feel confident though?
cymrococh Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 which referee would make you feel confident though?Kenny Dalglish.
stressederic Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I'd take a win at this stage They've looked sloppy at the back. Exploit this. Is there a stage where you wouldn't fancy winning?
smokescreen Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 In red body paint. Whilst playing the long ball game... get her running about the pitch a fair bit.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Anybody want to hazard a guess at the teams ? I reckon Chelsea will start wit Cech Johnson Carvalho Ben Haim Cole SWP Lampard Essien Malouda Pizzaro Drogba Reina Finnan Carra Agger Riise Pennant Gerrard Mascherano Babel Torres Crouch I reckon we will go with width against Chelsea and Gerrard in the middle. Pennant and Babel will stay wide and are fast and can trouble their full backs (I think Rafa sees that part of Chelsea as a weak point). I also think we will go with Crouch. Torres and Crouch are both good in the air I think the same tactics as the league game can work. I would not mark Ben Haim, Johnson and Cole down as dominant in the air and add Babel to the equation as he is quite tall. I reckon we can trouble them in the air (Terry cant be everywhere !). I think Drogba and Pizarro could be a good combination for them so we'll have to be on our toes.
McBain Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Is there a stage where you wouldn't fancy winning? I'm not greedy. I'm quite content to see all the Chelsea players leave the pitch in one piece
johngibo YPC Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Love Rafa's digs Jose Mourinho claims there’s more pressure on Benitez this season because of the extra value of the players he’s signed. But Benitez was quick to remind him his summer outlay is a drop in the ocean compared to what he’s spent since moving to England. “The players are more important than the managers,” he said. “If you analyse the last five years, it’s clear Abramovich has done a fantastic job.”

Gilps Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Sheva Affectionate nicknames for opposition players are not allowed. You might just as well have put Lamps and JT down there.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Typo Should have been TERRY in and CARVALHO out
Sion Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 (edited) Affectionate nicknames for opposition players are not allowed. You might just as well have put Lamps and JT down there. It was probably because he can't spell shevchenko Edited August 17, 2007 by Sion
surf Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 it was cause i couldnt be arsed to take the time to fully spell an oppositions players name and went for an abbreviation.
Extraordinary Swindle Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Essien is supposedly out until next week. Mourinho said on Tuesday/Wednesday that he would need 10 days for the knee to recover. But we have seen miracle recoveries before. A good tackle early on should test the knee.
