Bored out of my skull tonight, missus was away, mates were up to nowt one of the lads in work text me.

"Fancy coming to see hartlepool play sc***horpe?" can't stand the blues***e so I went to experience first hand the 1st round of the carling cup.

 

 

Fans were hilarious but the best part of the day was the fact that Godwin Antwi was by far the best player on the pitch by a country mile. I'd never realised how big he actually was but the sc***horpe CF (hynes?) was bigger and he had him in his pocket. He made at least 4 goal saving tackles and was big and strong throughout and very comfortable on the ball. Now I know its nowhere near the level he needs to be but all signs were very positive.

 

Just so ya know....

 

 

 

PS I got very confused from one of the hartlepool supporters. After richie folan scored his second and winner of the game, the supporter stood up and shouted

 

"Only two people could have scored that, john wayne and me"

Is awesome !! He will be a huge player in the future. Hes rock solid, shows good composure and is a great tackling no nonsense defender. I just wish he was permanently here!! Hes already displaces our 2nd best defender who last year was rock solid helping the team achieve 23 clean sheets. Just to let you lot know hes unreal !

 

Seems to have made a decent impression so far.

I went to see Sc***horpe Utd vs Hartlepool last night and saw Godwin Antwi play. He looked pretty competent. Reads the game well enough, has reasonable pace and power likes to play the ball out from the back with little or no hoofing.

 

Two main weaknesses stood out for me. The crowd was quiet so I could hear all the players. He didn't seem to communicate to well with the players around him. Secondly he seems to get under the high ball alot so doesn't really dominate in the air.

 

Other than that he looked a good prospect.
